Thank you so much. Looking at a 2011. FWIW: Our 2006 RAV4, that we bought used at 140,000 miles has never failed us yet. Only yesterday after owning it nearly 8 years, I had to replace the front drivers side wheel bearing.

I had a 2015 Toyota RAV 4 XLE AWD and loved it. It road smoothly and wish I wouldn't have traded it for 2017 Toyota RAV 4 Limited AWD. I hate it and it rides like an old lumber wagon. It is rattling my dash apart. The dealer says that is normal.

I have a 2013 with 200k miles. I call bullshit. I’ve only done regular maintenance and replaced a water pump that dripped at 170k.

Have a 2002 RAV4, 246,000 miles, still works like a dream, replaced all fluids and recommended maintenance at 100,000 miles but did not at 200,000 yet still runs fine. Very few problems over the years, slight coolant leak and one new radiator.

If you are looking for a 2008 Rav4 just find out it if had the Rav4 oil consumption fixed. I knew about the issue because I changed my own oil and noticed I was always low at 5k miles, I complained to my Toyota dealership and was offered a free fix which I had done but was only available until 2013 since it was a major top half of the engine was updated and took a week to repair. It was over a 2k fix at no cost to me and I have not had worry about oil consumption since the fix. I had the fix done when the car had a 116k on it now it is at 178k. But if you are buying a used one ask the Dealer or owner if it was done if it was not done do not buy that modal year.

Which motor in 2008 was the issue? The 4-cylinder or the V6? I don't see a V6 emblem so I don't know if you're saying it's the 4-cylinder or that's just the car in the picture?

I own a 2019 Rave4 and it hesitates and lurches forward when starting up from a stop sometimes. The dealership had a recall, and it worked for a while. Going back today to the dealership for an oil change and rotate the tires at 30,000. Said I need to change brake fluid, clean out fuel, and do something to the all-wheel drive. All this to the tune of $550.00. I'm getting the oil change and rotate the tire for $100.00. I am a 75-year-old woman, and I think they see $$$.

3:30 The issue on the Rav4 2002 automatic seems to be just bad code/hardware on the box. I looked into before buying mine and usually, at least around here, it was about $200 to fix it. I got mine and hadven't got such issue, so I'm not 100% sure, but everything else has been great. I'm however inclined to swap the original gas engine with the turbo diesel engine sold in Uruguay. Sounds way more fun

It all comes down to maintenance and how one takes care of their Rav 4. Some the models mentioned here people still have them on the roads in my country Trinidad and Tobago( T&T) 🇹🇹 and they run great with little to no problems at all.

We have a 2022 RAV4 limited hybrid. We love this car. I got everything you can get on it. And at that time, it was a six month wait. Because of shortages in the supply. We paid it off in just under two years. And we only have just over 10,000 miles on it. I plan on keeping this for at least 15 years if not more. We have a 2007 Camry XLe fully loaded and that’s running great with 93,000 miles on it. We plan on keeping this car until the wheels fall off
