@@antdoggg02 Looking at your relay configuration, I have a question. Assuming you are using the relay P/N 340, do you have the 12v power from battery going to pin 87 and a jumper over to pin 86? Pin 85 is coming from one lead of the pressure switch and pin 30 going to the compressor. Sorry to ask so many questions, but the documentation from Kleinn and the compressor and what I think I'm seeing on your video, don't line up. kleinn.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/KLEINN-6450RC-MANUAL.pdf

Nice install, sounds great, ggod job. I have a Nathan's K5LA setup. You mentioned putting a switch on it so you can turn the compressor off. I highly recommend you do this. Mine is on a 96 GMC 2500 diesel. I had a smaller setup previously which developed an air leak at the compressor, which had corroded from exposure under the truck. It killed both batteries and was a real pain to try to jump because the compressor of course would come on when it got some power. My new installation, I have the tank and compressor in a tool box in the bed. I also have it wired into the ignition with a fuse in the fuse box, completely separate from the factory horn. Compressor will not run unless the key is turned on. Makes life easier for annual vehicle inspection too. The other thing I did was I have two buttons on the dash. One for the horns and one for the condensation drain valve on the tank. Took a couple of days to get it installed, but we added a few things that the kit did not come with. Love it......

As far as the electric goes, yeah it's not weather sealed. Even if it was, the crimp connectors are not sealed. The wires will corrode from the inside. Also drilling holes in you frame is not the best idea. The cab, engine and trans are all rubber isolated from the chassis. The electrical circuit maybe taking a path that could be bad for the truck. The path of least resistance is the way it will go. The Plenty of other factory ground points you can use,

I would sure like to see another detailed video about all your wiring connections for 12volt power source and the fuses, I really want to have this Horn system but I don't want to compromise any of the truck wiring so I'm very unsure about ordering the kit until I have a full understanding of how the kit is wired in place. I read through the online instructions but it mentions splicing into the ignition wires, not comfortable doing that. Can you help me understand the wiring a little better? Thank you.
@antdoggg02

Edward Nelson - I will try to get a video this weekend of the wiring for you , I didn’t splice into ignition or any wiring, Main power came right off the battery with inline fuse. And 12v power for switch and selonoid from a fuse inside the fuse panel under the hood, That I was already using for my tuner power.

@turbofarviknugnnick5540

One thing I dont like is with the tank installed like that, you CANT drain condensate from the air tank until it is 1/2 full of water. Just a thought to wire a switch to turn on and off your compressor, ALSO I wired my horn with a switch to where you use the regular horn on the steering wheel, when the switch is off stock horn only works when on both honk (dont worry you cant hear the stock horn over the train horn)
@antdoggg02

Turbofarviknugn Nick - I will double check but I’m pretty sure the drain is on the bottom of the tank, technically it’s on the side, but the way it mounts it ends up on the bottom.

Nice way to keep everything simple antdoggg02. They make rust preventative pens you can get to treat the hole. Maybe you can pull the screws out and put some of that stuff on it then drive them back in and do a coat of paint. It sounds like you live out in the desert so might not be as much as a concern as those of us that live up north. Salt kills trucks out here.
