Actually, the theory says that Angelica's mom was a addicted to heroine or crack, and died shortly after Angelica was born. Angelica's memory of her mom was manifested in her doll, Cynthia, which is why Cynthia's hair was all jacked up and her orange dress was dirty - because her mom was addicted to drugs and likely unconcerned with her appearance. Angelica's "mom" on the show was the gold digger who her father married. Angelica, having lost her mother at such a young age, looked to her father's wife as her mother and began mimicking her behavior (i.e., yelling, being rude, etc.). The theory goes on to say that with Dill, Angelica was confused that she couldn't make him go away or follow her orders like she could her other imaginary friends. So one day she grew frustrated and repeatedly hit him over the head, causing permanent brain damage and the odd shape of his head. This is why (apparently) Dill was such a weirdo in 'All Grown Up.' How did all the characters exist in "All Grown Up" you ask? Because Angelica's guilt over what she did to Dill coupled with her unstable mental condition pushed her into doing heroine....and imagine the now-adult babies..... the theory ends, sadly, with Angelica dying of a heroine overdose. As an adult, the only way she could imagine the babies in the same way she did as a child was to use heroine. Susie grows up to be a psychologist and eventually creates a show in memory of her dearly disturbed friend. As a diehard fan of "The Rugrats" I found this theory really sad and unsettling. Luckily, it's generally disputed. I read that Angelica was in fact a real girl, but she was the childhood bully of one of the show's creators. Other writers and people who worked on the show actually argued against Angelica's character being so real and mean, but the creator (who was bullied by the real Angelica) fought to keep her on because he felt that showing why certain people resort to bullying and sort of humanizing them was useful to the children watching...But who knows if that's even true. It would make more sense. P.s. I don't know who came up with the Rugrats theory, but whoever did has an extremely imaginative mind.
