Not sure where you’re located, but as this was a summer dress, if you were ever wanting to make a dress with similar drape but less sheer, or even to make this dress again but in the color of the movie dress, Dharma Trading (online retailer of dyes and fabrics in US) has a viscose rayon/silk blend that is absolutely gorgeous that is not transparent once dyed. Also, with it being 75% viscose, would be nicely breathable for summer (which only comes up because we regularly have 100 degree Fahrenheit or hotter temperatures in summer). If you’re not averse to dyeing fabric for a project, they are a great resource, especially of affordable &/or difficult to find silks in n various weights, including silk gauze.

Omg it’s so cute, I’m so inspired to make the dress too! Do you have this pattern available to sell?

This makes no sense to me. No measurements, no information on how to cut fabric etc.

Ah, I should have mentioned I am not an expert and none of my videos are guides or tutorials on how to make garments, I only make clothes for fun!

That's a great idea to embroide lapels like that! I imagine how long did it take.
