When I have a tough day and my spirits are down, I tend to focus on the simple things in life...the things that touch my heart and make me feel better. Beautiful music is one of those things. I find that certain songs can pick up my soul and transport me to a better place in a matter of minutes. Songs from artists like Anjanette Indelicato and Amy Grant easily do this for me. I am so grateful for the incredible talents of these two ladies. Thank you both from the bottom of my heart!

I'm appalled about most of the posts here : who are you to judge: God ? He alone knows Amy Grant Gill's heart, listen and watch Amy Grant's intimate portrait (sb has uploaded that on you tube) her testimony, her life and her broken marriage, all that she witnesses franckly, with humility...a few Christian artists had broken marriages (Sandi Patti, Sheila Walsh)...she never had an affair with Vince when she was still with Gary , c'mon ! why would she lie ?

@jacqui4amy, since when is God's Word not God (John1:1)? Since when is He not Judge (John12:48)? Why do you claim He is lying when He states that unrepentant adulteresses like Amy are His enemies (James4:4) and have forfeited any inheritance in His Kingdom (1Cor6:9)? Why don't you believe God means what He says? That she will go to hell for refusing to stop her adultery (Heb10:26-27)? Maybe if you could see with God's eyes, instead of being so spiritually blind, Amy would not look so lovely.

@premed080, I think that unforgivable sin is a sin that you don't want to repent. God says if the biggest sinner comes to me and repents, I forgive him. Jesus died for every sin, He can and He wants to forgive every sin, but He can't forgive the one that you don't want to repent. That's of course my understanding:) Some people feel sorry about letting in or inviting demons to come inside them, and I wittnessed that God saved such a person, too:) Still there can be a point where God says the end.

I just wonder so often where Jesus is in all these discussions. Yes, he said to "Go, and sin no more", but he said this while giving absolutely and completely of himself to all those he encountered. How many of us can say that much? In our judgmental discussions, where is Jesus' love? He loved the tax collectors, and fallen women just as he loved all others. Our we fulfilling His mission out in His world?

@Sween9261, I understand and basically agree. Surely, there is some cut-off point for any decision to evidence true belief on Christ - a point of no return. For most, that is the point of physical death. But for many, the end of free will to choose comes sooner because of the reasons you list, or I'd add for having committed unforgivable sin. Demon-possession will be no excuse because of decisions made that let demons in - comparable to selling one’s inheritance for a bowl of stew. (Heb12:16)

@Sween9261, lately as I have seen phony Christians on television, making money from Christian markets (especially now as Christmas approaches), talking the talk, but not walking the walk, supposedly "giving God the glory," but making statements that show they really do not know Him (Matthew15:8-9), I wonder whether some will be able to use the defense for their disobedience (even blasphemy, as you've said), "the devil made me do it." Is demon-possession ever a defense? What do you think?
@premed080
14 жыл бұрын
@Sween9261, yes I know. The Bible is rife with accounts of people who, as you say, loved their sin more than they loved God. The unending message of history and the Bible is God wants to be #1 to all. Particularly to love sexual sin more than to love God is to choose death over life. Satan unrepentantly disobeyed God, Adam & Eve disobeyed God, Judas Iscariot disobeyed God, and Herodias disobeyed God. Those who disobey God show that He is not #1 in their lives, not now, not for eternity.

Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. "But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’ There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the Kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out."

@katkollmer, you are a sick person, spiritually, emotionally, psychologically. You need to get to real Christian physicians who can identify corticosteroid imbalance to demon possession - even if you are unwilling to do what’s necessary to be healed. You’re an unstable, delusional, paranoid, schizophrenic narcissist who needs to repent. I saw Sween9261 warn K2Crest not to engage you, assiduously avoiding any acknowledgment of you. Now I see why. This is my last acknowledgment of you.

@katkollmer, your uninformed applause for hillbilly slop buckets is what would be expected from a lawbreaker, because feeding swill to pigs is illegal in the United States, as well as in many other countries (most advanced). The sin-bucket analogy is appropriate, considering that sin is food for demons. Unrepentant adulterers continue to pour sin into their "sin buckets" to the point of overflowing, contaminating the whole household, including the children, while drawing demons like flies.

@Sween9261, concerning the image of amorphous sin needing to be washed away, I once visited a farm in West Virginia where the folks had a slop bucket outside the kitchen door. It received waste for the pigs, and looked pretty disgusting. You wouldn't want it to overflow in the house or spill on you. That's how I picture adulterers with constant flow of sin into their slop buckets. A question for you: do you suppose demon possession could be genetically-linked, or just Exodus 34:7?
@premed080

@Sween9261, humorous. I would have tried referring you to another movie, or a British comedy I have in mind, but from the uninvited responses you got, I'd say you already saw the answer. In my experience, those living with a paranoid either become more paranoid themselves, or they react in the extreme opposite - the house really could be on fire, and they won't call the fire department. Similarly with narcissism, hysteria, hypochondria - which support many new medical practices.
@premed080

@Sween9261, re: sin, think of it as an amorphous substance instead of individual acts. When adulterers commit the act, they add equal amounts of sin to their internal sin buckets. If one should ask God to empty her bucket, the unrepentant person’s bucket continues to contain his sin. Living in continuous states of unrepentance keeps a steady flow of sin going into the buckets. Picture a house drowning in sin. According to Christ, eventually the unrepentant will “die in your sins” [John8:24]

@Sween9261, I will answer your question with a question: Have you ever seen the movie “The Amityville Horror”? Although that is a fictionalized account, it is based on a real incident. Of course, unbelievers discount any paranormal involvement, but that does not change what happened, and it does not change the Catholic Church’s centuries of exorcisms, whose numbers in the U.S. have increased dramatically in recent years. Wherever the devil is given place and gains sway, many are at risk.

@Sween9261, even atheist psychiatrists disagree on mental illness, with marked divisions between Freudian psychotherapists and psychopharmacologists. While neither school acknowledges demons, Christian knowledge of the spirit world has its own problem in that Christians in general, and Christian physicians in particular, disagree on whether “mental illness” even exists. Personally, I believe in organic causes of mental illness, but not to exclusion of spiritual sickness and demon possession.

@katkollmer, in case you haven’t noticed, there’s nothing crazy about identifying rabid horses, or cows, or skunks, or feral cats (that are the largest reservoir of rabies in most states). Neither was Christ crazy when He empowered His disciples to cast out demons. Unlike Sween9261 who seems convinced that you are demon-possessed, I would not make such claim without closer inspection. But I can say with certainty that there are no drugs to cast out demons, nor to redeem you from unrepentance.
@premed080
14 жыл бұрын
@Sween9261, of course there are atheists and other unbelievers, like phony Christians, who do not believe in demons. They don't believe Christ. Instead, they ignorantly say, "That's what people called schizophrenia and epilepsy back in those days." They get drugged vainly in the false belief that Risperdal can redeem them of unacknowledged sin, or cast out demons. Tragic! Sadder yet are those who willfully choose their sin over righteousness. For them there is no hope. Hebrews 6:4, 10:26.
@premed080
14 жыл бұрын
@Sween9261, yes it always is sad to see people who believe the devil no matter what their condition. But, it is especially sad to watch people go off with drug prescription in hand, falsely believing that they have what they need to counteract the effects of demon possession. Instead of believing God, instead of repenting of their sin and pursuing spiritual health in right-standing with God, they continue in worldly disobedience, drugging themselves into acceptance of their sickness.
@premed080

@Sween9261, most paranoids do not know they are mentally ill, and most narcissists believe their self-absorption is justified. Likewise the demoniac of the Gadarenes did not seem to know that he was demon-possessed until after Christ cast them out. Sad but hopeful is when the demon-possessed know their condition but are powerless to free themselves. Just plain sad are those who do not believe demons are real, and do not believe God's warning that all liars and adulteresses go to hell.
@premed080
14 жыл бұрын
@Sween9261, clinical narcissism is just as much personality disorder as paranoia. Some forms of personality disorder are more hazardous to bystanders, but all forms are dysfunctional. As for "unrepented sin," if it provides entry into hell, why not entry for demons? Whatever the means of entry, you are right about secular medicine's inability to excise them. Unacknowledged sin cannot be removed by drugs or psychotherapy, any more than demons can. Secular medicine doesn't teach about that.
@premed080
14 жыл бұрын
@Sween9261, very funny. There is no ICD-9 code for demon possession. Although secular medicine does have codes to describe conditions for which Christ cast out demons, He is not licensed to practice medicine here. Christians who cast out demons do so without secular sanction. To answer your question, the narcissism shown is blatantly obvious without reference to psychiatric records. Beyond that, I suggest that easy access to MIB records will provide a way for you to read them for yourself.
