Welding on a nut was a genius idea. Just the trick. I welded the nut on and then quenched it quickly, it's possible that rapid heating and shrinking helped pop it loose as well, but the key was having a hard enough surface for my socket to grab reliably.

Hello, I have 200R 93, how is the procedure to crean the centrifugal filter? Never open the clutch cover! 30 years using Castrol 20w50 mineral oil, Castrol Actevo is the brand in my country. Greetings from near Buenos Aires, Argentina

I just went through the same issue yesterday. It is a 15 mm bolt, I also tried to hammer in a 14 mm socket but no luck so far. Now waiting for that nut extractor sockets to arrive. But after looking at your video it seems that it won't help either. I wish I had seen this video earlier 😭.

Thats why he drilled that other hole behind it on the ski that he didn't drill all the way through so that they can be hooked into it in a "resting position" when the scratchers are not needed (in reverse). He basically said it in the video .

But what about the air and snow coming forward out of the track , would that not counteract the snow going backwards from the scratcher?
@DanielSturge
Жыл бұрын
Not to the air. As for snow if you have snow circulating around the track you probably don't require the scrapers and the effects don't matter

This is not deflection adjustment. It is sheave spacing adjustment. They are different. Deflection is the offset between the backside of the primary and the backside of the secondary.

I was going this route but after a lot of thought, I decided to buy a $20 fluid sucker or Amazon. Mine doesn't have a drain plug. My 2004 Chevy Trailblazer just sits to low (8 inches of ground clearance) for any deep pan and I didn't want to have a drain bolt of any kind hanging down to (potentially) get broken off. That would be a disaster. Thank you for the video.
@luvmygarage7184

That works. I just worry about some of the sludge on the bottom of the pan that the sucker might not get. But if you do it often then all should be well.
@timgiles9413

@@luvmygarage7184 I'm going to suck it out/refill, drive it then do it again in a thousand miles. Third time I'll drop the pan and replace the filter and gasket. I'll be changing over to Dexron VI transfluid. It is backwards compatible with Dexron III (for my 2004 TB)

your issue was the grinding when putting the selector into high gear or it happened (grinded) when you pushed the throttle after already selecting high gear? I ask because my 700 grinds sometimes when i accelerate in Low gear but my brothers 600 grinds almost every time when hitting the throttle in High gear.

Yes and yes. My gear was definitely worn out. I know some other people have offered suggestions as to why I was having this problem. With all due respect to them, I was having this problem because my gear was worn out. :-)

I literally just went through this yesterday, but my buddy has a garage and what he done, was took a hammer drill, and caught it on the edge of the nut and bam, I mean he barely even touched it and it was broke lose!! Basically what he done was made a wedge mark on it, kinda like a flathead screwdriver, but on the side not in the middle, then the fcker charged me 20 bucks for less then 3 mins worth of work, when the day before he said he wouldn't charge me nothing!!! Fcking prick!!
