--- how's bout you keep your negative commrnts to yourself! Since you can NOT play as good as Jake (by your own admission), you have no right to say anything!!! Your comments to Jake are as ridiculous as me, with only 2 yrs playing, giving constructive criticism to James Hill or Stuart Fuchs. Jake is expressing HIS feel to the music, NOT trying to imitate George and that is the whole bloody beauty of playing ukulele! Expressing ourselves. Lastly anyone BORN in America, including Hawaii, is a real American, not a fake American. You sound like trump with your "fake" jabberwocky! It would be BRST if you just don't say anything to any musician until you can play at their level. What an ass you are!

In the hands of a prodigy like this guy, it completely redefines the ukulele, ( in *my* mind, anyway) for certain.

You are a great ukelele player and have done much to expose the world to the ukelele and have inspired many to learn the instrument. I highly respect your accomplishments and talents. But I felt compelled to tell you that your rendition of While my Guitar Gently Weeps came across (to me), for the most part as lacking soul, FEELING... In the Beatles original version, you can tell by the bass part that it's inspired by soul music of the 60's. There is a simplicity to the rhythm that's like a heartbeat. I feel that you showcased your tremendous technique on the instrument (which of course the audience wants to see a certain amount of during a show). But in my view, this particular song was not a wise choice for showcasing speed, riffs and fretboard mastery. This song is ALL about emotion... In my opinion you missed an opportunity to lead the entire audience to a wonderful and healing cathartic moment. You chose flashy fret work instead. You are a master of the ukelele and I am not. You are doing quite fine in your career without any help from me. But that song is about EMOTION. It's in the title right? Weeps... Much respect to you sir.

The U.S. is only 245 years old, yet this fake Shimabukuro claims to be a 5th generation Japanese American. First of all, Japanese are not Americans, and even the 5th generation has a life expectancy of 75 years which makes it 375 years. Does that mean that the Nikkei in America are older than America itself? Fake Shimabukuro go back to Japan.
