Great video! Love your energy Daniella. How were the temps? Were there any clothing items you wish you had brought (or could have left home)? Also, from one curly girl to another, does the travel diffuser get the job done? Tempted to buy one and use the room hair dryer when we sail RC Brilliance of the Seas in 2 weeks. Could save a little room in my luggage if I leave my hair dryer home. Any feedback is appreciated!

This is a great video. Wish we could pack like that. We are flying Air Canada to Vancouver for our Alaskan cruise, and their carry-on dimensions are so small. which airline are you using and what brand of luggage are using for your carry-on? Thanks for the video.

The carry-ons are Seafew - the lilac one (mine) and his is Gieury. His I prefer actually. Both available on Amazon

I've booked all inclusive for the dining on that ship. Do you think it's worth it? You dined in Chops what about other restaurants? I see your wife, like mine also likes the Curacao cosmos. :)

SO sorry for the late response, haven't checked this one in a while. If you get this in time, I'd suggest NOT doing the all-inclusive specialty dining...there's really only two specialty sit down restaurants on this ship, Giovanni's and Chops Grille, I believe. We've never been all that impressed by Giovanni's, but Chops is ALWAYS good...then I guess there's still Izumi (also good) and Chef's table...which I've never done as it's just a bit too fancy for my palate, but I don't know if the specialty dining all-in includes that one as it's considered PRIME specialty. If it DOES and you're dying to try it, then I'd say book that one several times to get your moneys worth. So, if you're asking me and it's just MY opinion, the only place I'd eat outside of the included restaurants would be Chops...so getting a 3 dinner package might be the better deal. I hope that helps! And have a GREAT cruise!

You gave some misinformation. A call to Royal with just an explanation got us one deluxe package, the other person needed to buy a refreshment package, not just a soda package. The price of the package varies by ship and sailing. We have gotten the deluxe package for $57 per day, including gratuities.

Didn't mean to 'misinform' for sure...I was just trying to convey that, with the exception, the other person who can't drink doesn't need to get the drinks package but they still have to get a package anyway...sorry it wasn't super specific. Thanks for watching and chiming in!

My mom and I were on the Solstice back in 2016 from Seattle to Alaska! We loved the ship AND the food!! We had a great time! Our balcony stateroom was a plus!! We took the White Pass Railroad tour in Skagway, walked all along Creek Street in Ketchikan and watched salmon swim upstream, it rained in Juneau but it was still a very nice visit! We love cruising and will be going back to Alaska on Princess this August!

Just love both of your personalities and your videos are very informative. Thank you so much for sharing! I hope and pray for an abundance of new subscribers to your channel. I am new to your channel and really like it that you are different from all the other cruise KZitem channel people out there. Smart, down to earth and funny all at the same time.

great video! i’m new here and love the energy. i never pack more than a carryon and backpack no matter where i’m going or for how long, so i always appreciate getting new practical ideas. just a thought: in your intro, and i know you used air quotes, but i would suggest removing reference to your “normal” vs. your autistic son. just something to consider. my 20-year-old son is also autistic and i can’t imagine comparing him to his non-autistic sister in this way, esp. on a platform such as this.

A few minutes in and I love you guys. We're cruising to Alaska in July and also flying the same days as the cruise since its only a 2 hr flight to Seattle and we have a very early flight. I like your carry-on idea. I'm going to try.

We’ve gone out of Manhattan, Brooklyn and will be going out of Cape Liberty this fall. It is so much nicer than flying. Parking at the port and walking on couldn’t be any simpler. The overall experience was much better than the times we flew into Orlando, Miami and Houston.

But you’re not avoiding the: Christmas highway traffic 13 HOURS of driving which includes TWO border crossings Fuel costs for the above These things must be strongly considered and not ignored/minimized.

True, but keep in mind you're talking about BOTH ways. So, to be fair in comparing, this is 6 1/2 hours on day 1 and 6 1/2 hours on day 7. Very easy getting there and getting back. Vs air travel at Christmas time which is pretty much a blow-out of full days on day 1 and day 7. I'd rather take the 6 1/2 hours in a car vs full day in an airport with customs. I think that's fair, yes?
