The tree nest is one thing but it's not very bright to do that to a nest up against your house...🤭🤭🤭

There are two laughs in recent memory that made me also laugh… one of them is when all those humvees broke free of their parachutes and cratered, and the other is the laughing in this video. 😂

I have an 04 coach with 3 windows to make this repair to. I am so happy I found this video, as it is by far the most informative and confidence builder I have seen. Thank you for the slow pace- I will check to see if you have other videos. Lharris.

Hi- thanks for the great video! All the windows in our motorhome had the dreaded fog between them. We have followed all the correct steps, with the correct products, and they were pristine. However, when we went from A/C out into a South Carolina August day, we saw some fogging upon re-installation. I am 99.9% sure I cleaned them thoroughly and that there was not any etching. We used the CRL spacing tape that has the desiccant embedded in it, followed by silicone caulk, all done inside with A/C. Hoping that it was just a bit of moisture from the inside air was trapped and the temperature change caused it but the desiccant will take care of it. Has anyone else had this happen?

Alabama here. When I was a teenager way back in the 80s we were cutting and stacking pulpwood. My stepdad would cut the tree down, and I would come along and remove limbs. One late afternoon we took down 4 trees and left. The idea was that I would have a head start in the morning. We walked in and passed the cords we stacked the day before and I started taking limbs. Suddenly something moved at eye level. I looked right into the hole of a Bald face hornet nest about the size of a 5 gallon bucket. They were coming out really fast so I dropped the saw and took off. I cleared the first stack of logs and kept running. As I jumped to hurdle the next stack I got hit between the shoulders and It flipped me feet over head. As soon as I landed on my face they were hitting me all over. I got up and was able to get to the truck. Bob (stepdad) had seen it all happen and was already there with a blanket and he covered me up and shoved me in the truck. If he hadn't been sharpening his saw on the tailgate, I don't know if I would be here today. I have been shot with a 22 caliber and it didn't hurt nearly as bad as that first hornet between my shoulders.

Thank you for your memory of bald faced hornets. They are indeed an aggressive and nasty bunch. They will pursue and attack as a swarm.
@c.blakerockhart1128

@@JCarlson They are THE definition of aggressive. By the way, the next day while I was laid up, Bob went out there and burned the whole nest before daylight. It took me about a week to get back to work. I seem to recall that I had around 65 stings. As I sit here now, I can almost FEEL that first hit. That is a memory that is DEFINITELY permanent.

This is the most HUMAN thing.... yeah, we have far more effective methods of dealing with these things, but haha nest go boom. If you need any indication of how FUBAR these nests are, look the end of the stick.

One thing I did that worked ok was I got a new, sealed little packet of desiccant (like the little bags that sometimes come in electronics you buy, but a new package, unopened). I left that in between the windows when I sealed it up. The little packed doesn't bother me in there, and it absorbed whatever bit of moisture was left between the windows.

Why do they provide 2 silver screws in the kit? Is it just in case you drop one? Also, I have a 210 toilet, and I am having trouble getting my screwdriver in to tighten the screw. I have a short throw ratcheting screwdriver and even that is too tall to fit. Any ideas?

J. Carlson this was such great DIY lesson on the windows. I've decided to do the 10 windows in my 2009 American Eagle. I started with the passenger fixed unit and separated the panes by cutting them with a utility knife because I was nervous to use my oscillating next to the glass. It was VERY difficult but I got if done (cramped hands and all). I'm now rethinking about using the power tool. Did you have any problem with the tool shattering any glass and do you have any addional suggestions on using the tool or another item to separate the dual panes?
@JCarlson

I did all 10 of my windows using the procedure shown in the video. Tempered glass is quite durable, but you're right to use caution. If it does shatter, you can have a glass shop cut one for you.
