is the softness from the lens or the Fuji recipe?
@isettafilm

Maybe it is due to minus sharpness in the recipe and the black mist filter. Thank you~

This is staggering footage. Your composition and consistency of colour grade across the scenes is very cohesive. Thsi is the best footage out of the X100VI I've seen so far. I have mine on pre-order and am not very experienced in colour grading. Are you grading using Resolve and do you start with a base LUT such as Phantom LUTS or anything like that?
@isettafilm
13 күн бұрын
In Premiere, I apply the genuine Fujifilm LUTs and do a bit of color correction as I am comfortable with. I'm still learning to get to the level where I can call it “color grading”. Thanks for your comments.

Fantastic video! I got this adapter due to your recommendation last year. I had trouble setting it up the first time because it wasn't clear what adapters to use and how to screw them in. Or use a quality diffusion filter that doesn't impact camera size or feel, or introduce the IQ degredation near the corners that were quite distracting in some frames. You might not get the flares, but still a lot of character and softened image.
@isettafilm

Agree. For X100 series, where compactness is the first priority, any adapter is undeniably large. Thank you~

hello. I am a person who is thinking of many inspirations and challenges while watching your emotional videos. I also have experience using a Fujifilm camera. Are you curious about whether this video was filmed using Eater or film simulation only and processed without editing?
@isettafilm
13 күн бұрын
It depends on the day, but I think this video was based on ETERNA, just adjusting the recipe in-camera, and post-editing was minimal. Thank you~

Really doesn't give it a good look to me. The image just seems to be too fussy and doesn't really showcase that anamorphic look. I think with that 40mp sensor, a simple crop would be a better result. No hate I was hoping for a better look from it.

Can you explain your process you use to desqueeze the photo?
@isettafilm
13 күн бұрын
I'm using Lightroom, so desqueeze up to 1.25 can be covered by changing the aspect ratio of the transform. Photo software doesn't support anamorphic very well, so you can also achieve this by importing photos into your video software. Thank you.
