I unfortunately just had to send back my brand new Rossi RP 63 revolver, I did not realize it at the time but when I purchased the revolver brand new, it had a cannted barrel by about 1 mm. Also, the cylinder did not lineup perfectly. Pretty disappointing to get a brand new revolver and three days later discovered it has a major flaw. Now, in this particular example, I can cut them some slack because it took me three days to see it myself. It was such a slight flaw, but something that I would like to avoid in the future.

Having held the the Henry big boy sideloaded 20 inch in 357 Magnum weigh in at a whopping 8 3/4 pounds. It’s a heavy rifle. I really want the Rossi R 92 and a 24 inch because it looks amazing and I believe that is just a couple of ounces short of 8 pounds. But I just don’t know how I want to pack around a rifle that heavy when I can get the 20 inch at 5 pounds .

Yeah easy to clean as long as you don't take it apart and put it back together. What a nightmare!

Let me just say, put a piece of painter's masking tape on the barrel and mark where the point of your sight (front) is and then center the sight. Check for titeness of screw on the forearm. Basically you are dealing with a budget firearm you can expect to make some slight adjustments.

I finally got it adjusted and it hits 1 inch left at 100 yards which works for me. The screw tightness was never a problem on mine, I check it occasionally but nothings walked out yet and I'm almost at 500 rounds of 158 grain 357 through it.

Enjoyed your video Zach. But...WARNING !! DON'T BUY A ROSSI 92. I paid $1000+ for mine and Taurus/Rossi turned my LifeTime dream of owning a '92 into a NIGHTMARE. RockOn.StayFree.

Well a bit late for the buying part as I own the rifle but I've had almost 500 rounds of full power 158 grain 357 mag and havnt had any issues with the rifle besides the ones I said in the video, but I took care of them already as of now. Mines a sweet shooter and I've had no problems with it. What happened with yours, if you don't mind me asking? It might help me watch out for the problem in case it comes up in my rifle

I shove’m in half way and allow the next bullet to push the other half in. That way my finger only gets shredded pushing the last bullet all the way in

I know all lot of folks are calling these rifles, but actually they are carbines. I know not too many folks really care bc they look like rifles. The major difference is in the ammunition, a rifle packs way more pressure than a PC carbine. I just bought a Rossi-92 in stainless and yes I love mine too. My next one will probably be the Henry in a some type of rifle cartridge. Just bc. LOL have a great day shooting yall!

Tap the sight and make it right. Buy a $12 bore site for the easiest route to sight it in. With my Rossi I was getting 2”-3” groups out the box at 50 yards. After I used my bore site, I got it tightened down to 1”-2”. With the factory sights. You should disassemble the rifle and get some fine grade sandpaper and smooth the edges on your loading gate and upgrade you follower to a brass or aluminum one. All of the minor gripes you have about your rifle can be fixed by you or a gunsmith with very minimal effort, time and money. These are the more common types of problems that you face with a budget priced firearm like these. For the price of these Rossi rifles you get a lot of bang for your buck. Good video enjoy that Rossi.

Thank you for your review. I don't have this Rossi because I'm a Chiappa fan. The Chiappa model 1892 is a practically 100% clone of the original Winchester 92. The shape of the Rossi's receiver is more similar to that of the Winchester 1894. It's actually a shame, because that detracts from the character of the model. As for the fore end stock, you can easily correct that play yourself. Despite my 'criticism', it is a great lever gun. Enjoy it, because that's what it's all about in the end! 😊

That's a nice looking rifle! I like the stainless. Would be cool if they were made in brass too (not barrel though obviously)
