If only Ayumi can speak English fluently during her prime. Avex is trash for pushing her with schedules. English album during her prime will give her even bigger fanbase.

No wonder the Your Name songs sound so good in english, I had no idea Yojiro Noda was that fluent
@FallenGemini
Жыл бұрын
According to Wikipedia, Noda lived in the U.S. from 6 to 10; I had to check Wikipedia and then this video because I was surprised how clear the English verses were in the Radwimps songs English version of "Your Name." I never heard of Radwimps before watching "Your Name" today, so I thought Funimation either had a KZitemr who did English covers of Jpop songs to sing the songs in English for the film or Radwimps had a semi-band member who just does English versions of their songs much like how Jam Project has a semi-regular Brazilian band member that tours with them whenever they perform in Latin America. I had no idea that the lead singer of Radwimps was that fluent in English.

Why is “asakusa” pronounced as ASAK.SA but spelled as asakUsa? Same with desu, it’s pronounced as dES. thanks

That's just how it is for japanese. They tend to have a silent "u" sound in those words. One other example is the name, Sasuke. You don't actually stress the SU part. You will always hear them call it as "Sas-Ke"

So this is why every western people overreacted whenever asian speaks with perfect english. I guess the Japanese people's English skills are so suck and that's where stereotypes about asian(can't speak English or they have weird accent) from!
