I have a 1537 and have 2 issues. The minor issue is that the starter grinds most of the time but when it engages the machine starts and runs great. The second and larger issue is that hydraulics aren't working. Some people say the splines where out at the pump somewhere. Did you have this issue with yours, and if so I would love some input on how to go about fixing it and where you got parts. Thanks

Look up power supply component they are located in Houston TX and they got my seals to my cylinder and hydraulic pump when the dealer couldn't find info on my case 1740

is there a cross over of lube/hydraulic fluid from one side to the other? am buying 1537 and seller said he does not fill but one side... after looking at videos on these I worry one side is not lubed well. (if at all) since it seems this is lubed by sitting in a bath of hydraulic fluid. so what say you? does puting fluid in one side fill the other too?

I have been working on an older uniloader, that i picked up on craigslist. I have it running good now, and replaced the drive belt, but it doesn't turn well. I have to apply what I consider a lot of pressure to get the unit to turn. Having never run a clutch type machine before, I was wondering how much force against the leavers is needed to turn?

These older machines were not exactly made to be user friendly, however the physical force required was not anymore than puling a car's hand break by comparison.

I inspected the clutches, and they appear to be in good shape, with lots of adjustment left, but I have a suspicion that the previous owner has the wrong hydraulic fluid in it. It calls for type A ATF, but i suspect that it is full of dexron. If the oil doesn't have enough friction additive, than the clutches can slip. I am going to drain it, and fill it with THF, as soon as I swap out a set of cylinders.

Have you seen the other prior to restoration video? This skidsteer actually ran very strong.

Other videos don't matter. In this video that engine is not running like it should! I know i have several Wisconsin engines. They run better then that! And the fact i have been a mechanic for many years....

Hi, i just picked up a Case 1537 skid steer. You have any tips or pointers where i can find parts for it. It needs full restoration. Thanks in advance.

Ebay and craigslist. I also have a local case dealer but parts there are expansive.

We did prime the cylinders with lubricant prior to attempt of turning it over. No this was local to Illinois.
