I do agree that RE4Make is a fantastic game for sure, but I do think people are too hard on RE3Make for mostly nostalgia reasons. I think RE3Make is so much better than the original game, which I did play back then on the ps1, but it wasn’t fun to me like 1 and 2 were. It felt like it was a filler arc, trying to masquerade as a story with weird mechanics and a goofy approach that I just felt annoyed about. The Remake was way more fun with better controls, less janky mechanics like the dodge, and it trims a lot of the story fat that just felt like “oh great, another zone. Siiiigh”. I don’t think it cut corners, I think RE3 original was made of only corners, it wasn’t ever a full game and wasn’t even intended to be a mainline game, it was only RE3 because of a deal with Sony and Capcom. I think RE3Make feels like what that little team back then was trying to do but couldn’t due to time, money, and technology restraints, but at least I can play the remake of 3 and have a faster more actiony experience than 2, and beat up a cooler looking Nemesis who was never as cool as the Tyrant in 2.

I hated tears of the kingdom, the building is tedious, and they didn't fix a single thing people hated in breath of the wild and in some cases they made them worse. E.g. weapon degradation is now more annoying because you need to combine weapons to make them usable.

I love this album, its meanings and its multiple interpretations, because I can hear it in any situation and I will feel ok with it. As a mucisian I love the way he recorded and sample a lot of stuff, and as I hear it, and every now and then, read about the lyrics or analisys (That I'm use to listen) I've come to appreciate more and more the introspection Jakey has come to, I love how this make feel, I love how it makes me think about some stuff I want to burry in the past and feel for it again, The game samples, the beats, the movie quotes, the memes, all in there for me to enjoy in a way I would never thought I would hear it before, in a way that as a mucisian (again) I would have never imagine~ I guess, what I want to say is THANK YOU for releasing this record, Thank you for spending so many years of your life recording, sampling and developing this record, Thank you for share it here and not as a paid release I would have probably struggled to buy, Thank you because I Hope with all my heart you will keep going on with your life in a better way, in a better possition and you will probably make a New Record (pun intended) as a response to your own questions made in this one and beyond with more original music tha I can listen on repeat like I do with this one.

The great plateau and the starting sky island are some of my favourite memories from BotW and TotK. At some point you get a large enough stamina wheel to just jump up any cliff that you come across, or in TotK, you get enough parts/zoanite to make a vehicle to fly up. The start is where I feel my ability to solve problems in unique ways is put to the test. There aren't any really difficult parts, but I love seeing a higher island and thinking "Hm, I know I'm not supposed to be able to get up there, but I WILL get up there." Making long columns of trees stuck together that I thread through the geometry of the buildings to give myself a bridge to cross gaps, whatever it is, I find it extremely rewarding, and it's a level of challenge that I feel the further into the game you are the less you'll come across it.

I know everyone hates Dead Space 3, but I played the coop campaign with my brother recently and had a fantastic time laughing at some of the jank and cheese, but also just enjoying a game that got way too much hate for what it is, a good game, which are few and far between these days. Whats more fun than killing alien zombie mutant guys with your brother while occasionally squealing because you got scayord? Also the gun customization is actually cool as hell when you figure it out. Tip: if you do decide to play it based on this rambling nonsensical comment, send the little robot guys out to scavenge at every conceivable opportunity.

This may be random and not guaranteed and probably not even read, I honestly love your videos and jus generally agree, or think you have great points when it comes to a lot of the video games, and your taste in video games but I always wondered If you have played Nier Automata, or heard of it as honestly it is just another modern video game that has truly been regarded as a "life changing" one. With some of the best OST in modern gaming period, because having seen a lot of your videos and how your experiences with video game is so relatable I can't imagine you having played Nier Automata and not feeling the urge to say something or talk about it somewhere (even If it's not a main channel video). For me personally I'm one of those, Nier Automata sits at the very top of my single player games list and it is one of those video games that I just cannot replay it and wish that I could erase all of my memories about it to experience it for the first time again

I liked how I didn't finish the GC one, so I thought I'd try it through the RE:make, and, well, I practiced in mercenaries, felt like I was hot shit. But then I played story mode, and, they managed to make the first encounters atmosphere SCARY. It was refreshing.

Finally came around to watching this. Would totally watch a podcast of this kind of conversation on gameplay design and reception. It's interesting how both FFXVI and Ghost of Tsushima kinda disrespect the players time through different means. I want gaming to be accessible to the widest audience possible because that's how the industry gets to grow. TOTK's tutorial felt like it was really long but I'm guessing that's cause they weren't sure how to approach a tutorial for ultrahand that also taught new players how to do everything from BOTW. It's really just there to get you comfortable with a more complex ability before it lets you run wild with it.

Reflecting on Romcom after some time and man what a fucking album. I probably listen to it the whole way through 3-4 times a week, it's so impressive that a ostensibly "amateur" performer like Jakey came out with an album that not only easily clears a huge majority of stuff the actual established industry has put out, but even considering Romcom on its own it's wild that there's not a single miss on the album, I genuinely love every song on here. I know it's weird/parasocial but I'm legitimately so proud of the man for putting out something of this level. I always love the new Nakeyjakey videos but also can't wait to see more music.

Nice video! Was replaying the game today for some challenges I missed. My only complaints about the game are the RNG moments on professional where you don't know if it will take 3 or 15 shots to stagger an enemy (and other stuff that seems less about skill like the tmp shooting range challenges). There were a lot of sections that Capcom basically kept fully from the original which made me happy, but I also liked the stuff they changed. Like you said it somehow brought back those feelings from my first time playing re4
