Some lovely technique. Artistry not developed. Personality of Kitri absent. Would love to see the regular Bolshoi students performing this variation.

@@malenagonzalez1974 You are absolutely right. I actually know it is not Kitri. So, not sure why I invoked Kitri. Not focusing/thinking/or proof reading, I guess. It was a long time ago. Don't remember posting my comment. Meanwhile, I would have thanked you for your correction had you not been so rude and classless. Never call someone "love." Rude and from the British lower classes. I don't need to do the research. I am very familiar with the various ballets. I have been dancing and writing about ballet for a very long time. Still take class regularly (when not injured). I stand by my comments, which I think were pretty complimentary: Lovely technique. Artistry not developed. By the way, I happen to believe that even exquisite professional dancers develop great artistry with more experience. There is a striking difference between most of the Western students in Bolshoi summer intensives and regular Bolshoi pre-professional students. Differences in both technique and artistry. In Russia, they insist on both from Day One. Not so much in the West, particularly North America. Interestingly, of all the BBASI's I have seen online, the American student that stood out the most is Joy Womack. Easy to see why she was invited to study at the Bolshoi Academy in the Russian stream. Her journey an interesting story of ups and downs, a dancer with incredible tenacity.
