Hi Dorothy. What you use to fix the artwork on the board. Do you use some Varnish? Thanks.

impressive work. I'd love to know what chalks you use...?? I'm doing a little chalk art myself but getting a nice finish without using liquid chalk pens is tricky. Any suggestions?

Hi Ryan, thank you, this was a really fun project! Honestly I just used the basic chalkboard $1 a box chalk from Michaels and then the colored chalk that came in a mix pack of 24 pieces or something like that from Walmart. There really is no easy way to get a nice finish, it's just layers. I hate the liquid chalk markers, I think they're a cop out and like you said really hard to control. I'll start with loose sketching to get my spacing, measuring roughly as needed but then outline, fill in, outline again and fill in again so the finished letter has a dense, full coverage look. Then to clean it up I'll use a cloth towel or my favorite for the small letters and spaces a Q-tip and water. Hope that helps, good luck with your work and thanks for stopping by and checking out the video! :)
