This is Michael and I want to personally apologize to Bill and Derek for the audio issues. I think I have isolated most of the issues going forward. Long story short, my recording software and my computer were having issues and thus caused the echo and other issues. I started to not upload this but I really enjoyed talking with Derek. The issues are 100% my fault. Hopefully you can still get something out of this episode and I will make sure we have Derek come back for another episode going forward. Again I am sorry to both Bill and Derek.

It's 7 AM in my house right now. My 1 and 2 year old are on the couch watching SuperBook (a Christian/Bible based TV show on Amazon if anyone is looking for such a thing). My 3 month old is settling down for a nap after morning cuddles and giggles. I'm in the kitchen drinking my cup of coffee and getting started on some homemade biscuits to add to bacon and eggs (that I collected just yesterday) for breakfast. In 4 hours, we'll be sitting in a church pew, praising the Lord. My car is a 2011. My house was built in the 1960's. My bank account isn't impressive by anybody's standards. But, Lord, I am BLESSED. Follow Jesus amd raise your children up in the way of the Lord - you will be truly blessed beyond belief. The Lord loves children especially, it brings him the greatest joy to see a child brought to him early in their life. Make every effort to take them to church and involve them in activities there. Talk to them about involving God in their daily life and model that for them (I grew up that God was in my life for 3 hours on Sundays, that's it). Buy them age appropriate Bibles to read. Dawn Machell's My First Bible is a great start. My kids can't read yet but they point at the different pictures and say the what it is and I'll tell them the story based on that. "Yes, that is a lion. See the other lion? And the bear and the bunnies? They're going on Noah's ark..." If you allow TV, make it Biblical. It takes effort but I would do anything to make sure my kids are exposed to as much God as possible from a young age. Years ago, kids were exposed everywhere. They read bible verses at school every morning and prayed grace over the evening table. Not so much any more... I believe the Lord brought this podcast to me for some reason, I have no evidence of that beyond just what I feel in my spirit. You guys seem to speak the truth and follow God. I'm enjoying these podcasts of yours and appreciate your work. ❤

Honestly, I’d love to go to church but I can’t afford it. And I don’t just mean tithing, I mean I can’t afford anything.

Church can always help and provide! 🙏🏻 God bless you, I pray that you find Gods light and glory, you don’t have to worry about how you dress. As long as you are in church that’s all that matters

We are young (ish). I'm 30, my husband 31, with 3 kids under 3. We started going to church in the middle of last year and never looked back. They teach from the bible. My children love their nursery school and love socializing with everyone there and the people there love us like family. The church even does volunteer stuff with the kids in areas around the town. I have no doubt that building could be leveled and we'd still be having church every Sunday - just sitting on the ground. I have no doubt that our pastor would be preaching if 1000 people showed up or just 1. Heck, I'm pretty convinced he'd preach to no one on the off chance someone might get curious, walk in, and sit down. That's the church people need to find. We had issues in our marriage early last year and almost divorced but the Lord was looking out for us. I am lucky to work part time from home (hoping to quit entirely in the next 5 years) so I'm very involved with my kids. They do get a little TV but we keep it to Christian or 90's kid's shows to avoid as much of the 'woke' as possible. Other than that, they get outside every afternoon (aside from bad weather like major rainstorm or active blizzard - a few inches of snow or some drizzle won't stop those kids, though). They help around the house and with the animals (dogs and chickens). We will homeschool as well and the kids should have more time to be involved in sports/activities/clubs, volunteer, and work (once older) to socialize in a positive way other than social media. Like me, they won't have a cell phone until they are adults. At the end of the day though, God is in all we do. I think people need to find a good church and live biblical marriages. Women need to be home and I know that's hard. Of course I want the bigger house and newer car. But I want to be with my kids more than that so we live in an older house with a 2011 SUV (which God has taken care of for us - they both work great and do exactly what we need). I know that I don't get to take houses and cars with me when I die but to know I did everything for my kids and to know they will follow me to an eternity with God when it's their time is more than worth it.

PS : The only reference to a ' church ' building in the New Testament is in Acts 19 : 37 ( KJV ). Guess what ? It's a pagan temple in Ephesus. Just like they are today. Colin. UK.

They shouldn't be there in the first place ! Show me 1 scrap of scripture in my King James Bible regarding " going to church ". Temple worship and sacrifice, along with the priesthood, were completely abolished by the Lord Jesus Christ at Calvary . Hebrews chapters 7-10 KJV. Additionally , the early Church made it crystal clear that Almighty God does not dwell in temples made with hands. Acts 6 : 13-15, 7 : 42-51, 17 : 22-25, Hebrews 8 : 2 , 9 : 11 & 24 et al. KJV.
