Thank you for this video, working out side in New Hampshire is a challenge for me, but this gives me more determination.Presently building a ‘54 Chevy 5 window coe truck. Any chance you could provide the braking set up you’ve installed, it would be very much appreciated. Will look forward to anything you can provide. Looking forward to the next update, thanks again.

Thanks for watching my video, because I used a motorhome chassis the braking system is original to it. I used a 1980 Dodge motorhome , stripped the body off and put the COE body on. The only thing I had to modify was the steering linkage. Good luck on your project!

Build instead of destroy, good point. I’m working on a 38 GMC 1.5 ton and will try and build a bed like yours or a flat deck with fenders.

I Love The Round Body Fat Fender Vehicles From The 40's. Especially The Cab Over Engine (COE) Trucks. But You Didn't Show Very Much Of The Engine. And Being LOWERED Not Only Makes The Vehicle Look TIRED, But The Underside Also SCRAPES When Going Over Some Railroad Crossings, Or Sharply Slanted Uphill Streets And Driveways. The Tailpipes On My 50 Merc Sometimes Scrapes That Way, Even After I REMOVED The Lowering Blocks As I Was Finishing Restoring It. And I've Followed Other Lowered Cars Leaving From Car Shows, Noticing The Sparks Flying From Underneath Them On Relatively Level Roads. NOT GOOD...

Dave, thank you for commenting on my COE build. I'm actually going to raise the front end a couple of inches to allow more clearance for the front tires and fenders. Also it will make the vehicle more level.
