Hello, awesome car. I have an RS3 8P too and I would like to install the wireless phone charger. Where did you buy it from? Was it tricky to install? Your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks! It’s a genuine Audi charger that’s been modified to fit on a USA centre tunnel. It’s not simple but not difficult, you can check out the install on my instagram @jt_rsq3

Sort of. I built all the rear end myself using OEM 8V parts. You can see on my Instagram @jt_rsq3

I want the double sided exhaust on mine. How much was it? I’d change the interior lights, apart from that, it’s a spot on car

It cost me around £3k to do the rear end conversion, all built DIY other than the exhaust. Its on my Instagram @jt_rsq3

Hi thanks for sharing, nice video! Have a few questions. Hope you can inform me! Is this a good solution for: 1- a little bit shock/clunk when transmission is cold? 2- when transmission cold: especially from 1 to 2, or 2 to 3 gear a little vibration? Or when taking o corner, transmission downshifts from 3 to 2, a little bit vibration/clunk... 3- when transmission cold: getting in to R and give gas immediately, a “clunk” noise? Looks like my RS3 8p does these noises only when its cold. when warmed up you can’t feel a lot. Maybe only left: the feeling when taking corner and downshift from 3 to 2

Hello pal thanks for the kind comments :) To be honest pal, the best thing you could do before getting this installed is to carry out a gearbox and clutch adaption via VCDS. It relearns the clutch biting points and smooths the operation of mechanics. It’s worth doing every now and then to remove all the issues you have stated above. Check out my other video for what this resolves as this does increase vibration a little bit gives a much more solid power transfer

@@arkious friend, do you know how to carry out the gearbox and clutch adaption? Do you mean “calibrating”? I read a lot about it. Or is it just testing with VCDS with some codes?
@arkious

@@gungorarslan88 it’s an adaption and you must follow a procedure to do so. Google DQ500 clutch adaption and there’s a procedure on rosstech website. Hope that helps :)

Robbie Marshall kzitem.info/news/bejne/yq6AmIx-inVpbG0 it was the gearbox mount, it turned out that there was quite a few with this same issue and Audi are pretty clueless about it. There are two options, replace the mount with new at a cost of around £300 or just fit the powerflex inserts which give the car a much improved feeling whilst removing the knocking. You won’t be disappointed fitting it even if you don’t exhibit the problem yet

bk56190 glad it can be of help! yes it was much worse when cold and would disappear almost completely when warmed up. My car had been back and forth to Audi and even had the gearbox replaced and they couldn’t find it. It’s a dream to drive since fitting this 👍🏻

bk56190 one thing I would say is you do get a bit more NVH, but it’s only subtle and personally I think it adds to the cars personality. Much cheaper than replacing the mount and much better than going the uprated route. Let me know how it goes pal, you won’t be disappointed!

bk56190 it is compatible but isn’t as strong. In fact finding out that info was how I thought about this mod in the first place. Don’t forget to change the bolts and torque to the correct settings and angle, last thing you want to do is snap one of those

They are a bit of a pain but basically you twist them quarter of a turn quite hard. They then pull out. I managed to get the old ones out easy but getting them in took me a good 2 hours or so and I cut my hand to shreds. I didn't remove anything to do it I just had to persevere until they went in

I've been trying to fit my bulbs but I can't figure out how to unscrew the original ones. Furthermore, the one on the left is not easily accessed because of engine parts in the way. Can you help me?
