How many hives could you, did you, treat with that bottle you bought?

Very dangerous, you show no respect. Use gloves and goggles when handling concentrated acid and label bottles ffs

I had just run across the WVU treatment and was planning to try it. How do you think this compares to the Mite Away Quickstrips? Thank you for going to all the trouble of recording this method on video. You're a good guy.

Im sorry I had forgotten I had even made this video. Thought about it in a conversation I had. I thought it was a great way to treat . The beauty of the system was that as the beekeeper you could leave the fume board on and come back weeks later. Lets say you have bee yards spread out. Sorry for the year late reply.

It should be pointed out that those measurements are for a 10 frame hive

I can't find the link to the paper you have. Could you please share it?
I really like the make up of this beehive attachment. I used to use mite strips dipped in formic acid. Your method far exceeds what I was using. Excellent videos and very informative. Thanks

Well, the study answered my question about tracheal mites, on the first page!

Thank you so much for this video. Your video clued me in to the existence of the West Virginia study - while I was moving in the direction of formic acid treatment your video gave me the right avenue for proceeding. I'm looking for tracheal mite control as well from the formic. Haven't yet read the paper; would you happen to know if this method controls tracheal mites as well?

Cook family you are 100% correct. I didn't realize that. Something I missed. I retreated using hive covers and had a much better drop! Might I add formic acid is approved in the US for treatment of varroa but this system is not that Im aware of. Use at you own discretion.

I thought you were supposed to use a hive cover on top of the fumigator. There are pictures in the WVU study that show hive covers on the top of the hives with the fumigator installed.
