Are these memories with the correct date and time? And will they be the correct date and time when transferred to my iPhone gallery?

Still works on Linux & Windows (both tested) as of 7/24/2024! Snap's default export sucks, hashed file names and no metadata or location metadata. This solves it all. Thanks again dude! If anyone is having trouble getting memories_history.json make sure "Include your memories, Chat Media and Shared Stories" is UNCHECKED. Then check "Export JSON Files" and "Memories And Other Media". Edit: This DOES work. Anyone commenting otherwise is just a little slow. With the right know-how this tool is a godsend

A bit late to the party, but multi cursor is something that isn’t really used or needed by vim users. You can get something even better (imo) with macros! Also, multi cursor is actually something in development for base Neovim which is cool

For whoever might be wondering, the tool is GREAT but it has some limitations: - it will embed the UTC date & time of the Snapchat memory, so if you're in any other timezone you will need to manually adjust the date & time - it will embed the location only for photos (for videos, you'll need to do that manually based on the GPS coordinates from the JSON file)

When I learned about vim I did the same thing started with neovim on Windows. Overtime I was exposed to the fact that i can use Vim Motions that make vim so great and used that in VSCode. Fast forward few weeks I was forced to write entire vim custom keybindings as VSCode and Vim keybindings where clashing. Then I started Ruby and decided windows is a pain to work with if I wanna just setup ruby on rails. Switched to Linux then used neovim from that moment on. I started using LazyVim config as that one was really good and let's you focus on what is important and if you can resist customization hunger (Literally that of a vampires blood hunger) then you are set.

Im sure someone else noticed this before but, you built it plateless... which is awesome! but not with hotswap, you are at a pretty high risk of popping a hotswap socket when you type, granted there is case foam inside so it might be ok but i wouldnt trust it. Plateless or half plate builds are usually done with solder PCBs so theres no chance for the switches to come out. Also i gasped when i saw the stablelizer lubing, tho i respect it haha.

brown switches are tactile switches, (personally don't like) and thought you were going to get a tactile switch, but you got a linear switch

Welcome to the mech keyboard world. Tbh, you couldnt have chosen the most clackiest keyboard LOL the envoy is known to be a clack fiend. Love it without any of the foams. Also, not sure if you ended up lubing your stabilizers? From what I could make out from your shots, it doesnt seem like they were. Would highly recommend lubing them to make sure they dont rattle or tick Lastly, would highy recommend getting a desk mat to help taper the sound of the keyboard a bit!

Nice keyboard for your first build! I noticed that there's a mistake with the pcb assembly, the switches are not snapped in properly with the plate, you might want to fix that. Also if you want a truly thocky build you should try adding in the pe sheet.
@MangoTangoFox

There is SO MUCH wrong with this video. - The friends keyboard was not thocky at all. - Removing the F-row doesn't free up horizontal desk space, compact 75%s are the same size as 65% and even standard TKLs are only about an inch and a half longer. No F-row makes quite a few games significantly more difficult, and not having a separate numpad will dramatically slow down many productivity tasks. - Brown and Red are not switch types. There are many kinds of switches, tactile/linear/clicky with all manner of spring weights, travel distances, long v short pole, actuation points, materials, tactile positions and strengths, etc. Original cherry reds are pretty bad for gaming as while they have the light weight, the travel and actuation points are much too far down. Gateron Silver among many other similar switches are dramatically faster, before you get to hall-effect + rapid trigger boards. Tactile switches are also not inherently faster for typing, they just often give greater certainty in your keypresses all over the board which can help you feel mistakes or even realize before pressing down with enough force to pass the bump. In terms of raw speed however, short-travel linears are likely going to be the fastest as if you bottom out in presses, it occurs much sooner and sends you onto the next key earlier. ... The "I don't care about your opinion" claim is wild when you haven't even tried any switches yet, especially for actual day-to-day use, you haven't formed an opinion yet at all, and it can take a lot of trial and error to get there. - Japanese sub-legends are not for actual use, it's purely for aesthetics not just thematically, but it's a way to get more of the color of the legend onto the cap which can help fill out certain color schemes. - Lube is expensive, you use a palette and brushes to apply coats without wasting it by doing something like letting it absorb into a disposable sheet of toilet paper. - You installed the stabilizers before PE foam / switch pad/sheet, blocking that from being put on, and then you didn't install it at all. It's a very very important piece when going for a thocky/foamy type setup. - Stabilizers not shown much in the sound test, but the spacebar seemed to have considerable metallic rattle, as from the close-ups it didn't look like the wire in the stem was lubed enough or at all. Plumbers tape mod or more modern doubleshot stabilizers can prevent all ticking and rattle. And for the space bar specifically, car dampener or some equivalent can really clean up the sound. - Using a desk/keyboard mat is pretty essential for most boards to not become overwhelmed by desk noise, really unless their internal gasket structure is incredibly effective. The desk noise is why the Envoy and the Keychron sounded far too similar than they otherwise should. - This is a $365 setup before tax/shipping and lube. Arguably better sounding pre-built boards for the goal sound profile exist for a third the cost. There's a ridiculous number of things to learn about keyboards, and I bring up all these points to illustrate that its not something you can just throw 400 bucks at... getting something that's really great AND suits all your preferences (that you might not even initially have without the experience) is far more about research and careful choices, and can often be done very cost-effectively.

i was watching this thinking a lot of the same things and he didn't lube the wires of the stabilizers even though he has a syringe to do it after they are already installed. Also the envoy uses 2 screws to hold the plate/pcb assembly in so it doesn't fall out because it can't really friction fit like a gummy o-ring board.

You talk about how custom keyboards are great because of how you can make them sound like however you want, but it seems that you didn't do much tinkering. The Mode Envoy is infamously difficult to get sounding and feeling great iirc and I think you would have a great time trying different configurations.

No offense but you are the only person in the world who could make the mode envoy sound exactly like a keychron whichever that one is. I think you should get a deskmat and if the device you were using was touching the table you should also change that. I assume it was a cellphone by the camera angle but if it was a mic same thing applies.

Great video! I am a little confused around the switch portion of your video. At around, 2:22 you said you chose brown switches for your build, then say you chose the iced latte switches (which look awesome btw). Did you mean to say linear switches? Because brown switches are actually tactile (light tactility) but you ended up opting for a linear switch in the end. The Envoy is a great board btw, looks great!
