But this is what grief really is. No back ground music. Just silence. Sitting still. Quiet. Just you and the memories.

No dialogue and yet so much was said and conveyed through utter silence, the music and sheer emotion. What makes it so much more meaningful and heart wrenching is I fully believe that even as Shuri, Letitia herself especially wasn’t acting any of the emotion that she was portraying in this moment.

I swear, that scene during the memorial montage showing T'Challa walking into the throne room at the end of the first film makes me so sad. Chadwick just had this confidence, this swagger, and this charisma. You could tell Marvel had massive plans for Chadwick and he was going to be the next Tony Stark/Steve Rogers-like figure that holds everything together going into the next saga. Such a shame we will never find out exactly what was in store for Chadwick and T'Challa's character. 😞

I still can’t believe he’s gone. Chadwick was special. And I was one of his biggest fans and I still am. I still watch a lot of his movies. And his death still really saddens me. Entertainment is not and won’t be the same without him.😢😢😢

Grief is a tricky thing just like them Scorpios. Grief isn’t just sadness, it’s pain that can transform into many different things. Grief can turn into Sadness and Despair, or Hope and Strength, or Rage and Violence. Sometimes, it can turn into all of those things in a span of days. Grief is as Powerful as Love because Grief is Love persevering.

I first saw this movie on Disney+ not very long after I had lost my dad back during the holidays in 2022. During the scene where the queen dies and this scene while "Lift Me Up" is playing, I was absolutely shattered. Watching this now, a year after I had said my final goodbyes to my dad and 15 years after the loss of my grandpa, I can feel the tears falling once again. Such a powerful and emotional tribute to not only our Black Panther, but the two most important men in my life.
