We raised ducks for years at Green Acres Farm in Oregon, USA. We sold duck eggs to a selective market but would donate any extras to a local food pantry. One time while dropping off a batch, a local patron looked at the huge eggs and asked, 'What are those?' I told him, 'Duck eggs.' He then asked, 'What do you do with them?' I said, 'Eat them.' Then he followed up, 'How do you do that?' I couldn’t resist and said, 'With a fork!' 😂 Anyone else get questions like this about their farm goodies? Or better yet, how would you answer? 🍳🦆

Thanks for the video, it is so inspiring and assuring for me. I too have a regular job and like you felt helpless looking at the current state of the environment. Being a nature lover, I wanted to lower my carbon footprint and so have been toying with the idea of setting up a farm. I have a little organic veggie patch and its doing very well. Your video has given me additional confidence, thanks and press on!

Brilliant - so inspiring. I watched this after being with them for a half day on how to make a kitchen garden. It was wonderful to be able to ask as many questions as I liked, get the answers and be inspired. Plus the honey cake at coffee time was made totally with honey from their bees! Yummy. I highly recommend a visit if you can.

Sadly this guy has fallen for the fake man-made climate change propaganda of the WEF/UN, so he may be a good farmer but he'll be obedient to the Fascism taking over the country and end up destroying what he's made.

I know this is two years old, but... Trying to find customers for your duck eggs? Go give your business card to local Asian grocery stores. Ask local restaurants too. Some foreign food restaurants might prefer duck eggs, and since they're organic, local boutique cafes and restaurants will likely be willing to add them to the menu.

The flat feet are compacting the ground and they poop everywhere because they are grazing all day,the next the eggs have salmonella so you have to be very careful when you cook with them .

Loved your video - thank you. I've had ducks in ponds - and also geese (now) - they make them extremely dirty. Draining them onto your crops is a great idea. Think of growing some kale - your geese will love it (also in winter). Wish you well with your venture. Campbell ducks are lovely ducks - and I wasn't aware of the Welsh Harlequin, which I'll now look up (we're also in Wales). It occurs to me that there's also a Welsh breed of geese, the Brecon Buff, although they're probably not the best breed for meat birds. I'm guessing you don't let the geese near your blueberry fruits?

This was an interesting, informative and entertaining vid, I enjoyed it very much. I like duck eggs, but my wife is not so keen. The farm looked like a great blend of produce in a fairly natural setting and I love the concept of the slug slaying ducks.

What a wonderful and refreshing approach to land use. Especially when one reads of farms being taken out of food production and given over to nature. Of course we need to acknolwledge the natural world, indeed we must recognised that we are part ot it and farm accordingly; but farms are for feeding people. To do otherwise is, I believe, social and cultural vadnalism. I wish you every success
