What a pity he speaks so quickly. Impossible to take in all the numbers. It would have been better if he used power point or something similar.

What I want to know is, now that it is all laid bare, how is it changed for the better? What does an average Australian do to affect change? And what should institutions change to correct?

Woe! Did you find all of this out since 2017, like a large mass of people? Clever way to deliver some very tough news...theres lots in there to unpack. New Zealand seem to be run unto the ground also? How can so many short term unbelievers, created so much mess? As in no faith in their own countries prosperity?

This is largely thanks to our useless politicians starting from John Howard (selling us out to the Paris agreement only to say many years later he since had doubts about so-called climate change) right through to our current Marxist/Leninist autocracy under Abo-nese. People need to wake up. This silver-spooned presentation may be humorous but it is us the voting public that is being laughed at.

The lucky country: school kids lying to every tourist about needing Au$20 to get home, homeless junkies begging for Au$5 on the streets, decrepit infrastructure, banks shutting down branches for a cashless economy, the cost of living making our Aussie dollars worthless despite high pay, healthcare systems falling apart, government/public services bordering on useless, cheap labour flooding the market with nearly 300,000 student visa migrants coming in, houses that you can’t pay off in a lifetime and institutional discrimination -all the best dear Aussies 👍🏽 flee as soon as you can …find a nice E3 visa job in the US if you’re skilled or get a no/low tax job in Dubai or Singapore

A very witty & accurate take on the property & Gove grift Aus has become. I too believe it's a house of cards as people's view being 'it's just the market' in terms of price justification becomes an acknowledgement of the affordability catastrophe.

As someone who lives in Canada it was fascinating to listen to this speech, the parallels with the Canadian situation with respect to housing affordability, immigration etc are uncanny, and if you think house prices in Sydney are bad, try buying a house in Toronto or Vancouver!

compared to salary distributions, Australia is in fact in a worse position, relative to the price and rent distributions. but yes Canada is suffering the same fate.

Boom, Boom, Boom; you got the trifecta with this one, good on you! Good on you for standing up and saying out loud too…lets hope they don’t close down your bank accounts… The only thing I can think of that we can pull out of our arse when the s@#i hits the fan is to turn the place into the worlds largest tip. Well make a whole other economic utopia out of it that should last for at least a further 40 years if we can get it half right (a 50% chance of this as well) by charging a highly over-inflated price to dump your nuclear waste - possibly humans organs if the Voice gets voted in as well have to also pay the Indigenous Tax on the enterprise. I’m surprised we haven’t declared war on Canada as yet for announcing they have increased their immigration target next year to 1 million people. This now makes them competition - we are after 750,000 of them to keep this baby afloat, if Canadas marketing is better than ours, we are going to be scraping the bottom the barrel looking high and low all over the the earth looking for 750,000 people! Perhaps we can start pouncing on the victims of any natural disasters that hit the world by sending in airplanes full of emergency aid products and then returning said planes with homeless refugees which we offer Visas too? What do you think???? 😂😂

"Inflate the debt away?" "The ability to service debt, will be taken away by inflation" ~ aka the cost of living will take all your income leaving no ability to service debt. Don't think it can't happen. It's already started.
