The beaches there are really clean and pretty and uncrowded, too. Just be prepared to pay to get in, unless you are a government worker or vet..you get in free.

thank you! I visited and wanted to learn more but could find no good resources you also explained what those dark little side tunnels-to-nowhere were for!

Was just there two days ago. very cool. I really appreciated it as I was in an artillery unit in the Marine Corps, Bravo 1/10 2nd marine division.

I live in Pensacola FL (have my whole life) and I still enjoy the fort, every time I go I find something new... Worth a trip if you have never been... Plus the fishing is amazing on the fort...

Thank you Andrew for making this beautiful documentary...I am originally from Florida, living in Texas now...Making a Florida trip which, among other places, includes a visit to Fort Pickens. So happy to have found your video prior to visiting this beautiful historical landmark of our proud and wonderful nation.

Thanks Andrew for sharing this video. Excellent documentary. Nice knowing more history after visiting in a self guided trip years ago.
