So Dennis was a terrible??? drummer? I dunno, whenever I hear his funky backbeat in Do It Again it pumps a quart of adrenaline into my heart and I start groovin'!! Same with Dino Danelli. Ginger Baker sends me into a feckin' coma.

Everyone knows Dennis was the only surfer, giving Brian the proper terms and lingo, but he was also the one into racing cars, and gave Brian the education on terms and lingo for street racing too.

We start by having studio musicians record everything because they’re about 12,000 times better than we are.

I like the way The Beach Boys didn’t consider it beneath them to do covers all through their musically mature years: Sloop John B, I Can Hear Music, Barbara Ann, California Dreaming. All GREAT versions. I wish they had done “Just My Style.”

& mike Love did what exactly ?....besides running his mouth & falsely taking writing credit for songs written by Brian..

God I love Brian's writing, here we have a fairly straight-forward rock and roll song, when suddenly there's a II major followed by IV minor before the V resolves to I. If Taylor Swift put chords like this together my head would explode.

I'm only 28 years old but I feel like I belong in the time period of The Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, etc. I feel so out of place in a society where people have become so disconnected from the outside world and so obsessed with themselves

Totally effing awesome. The first time I ever heard this song in 1969 when I bought the 20/20 album, it blew me away. I played it over and over. It still does today.

In reality (in the studio), that would be Hal Blaine, Tommy Tedecso, Glenn Campbell, and Carol Kaye with Brian Wilson in the booth composing the whole thing in his head with nothing but zero sleep and 4 tabs of acid.
