There was a recent inquiry here about where one can watch episodes of The Money Maze. I am re-posting my reply here as a new comment because there seems to be a lot of demand for more episodes of this show... The current historical status of this show is that the episodes do not exist. The Money Maze episodes were never preserved or archived by ABC or the production company Don Lipp-Daphne. The show was recorded on either one-inch or two-inch videotape. I'm not sure which. The appeal to the networks was that videotape was reusable. So the networks never archived the episodes in the first place. Videotape was still somewhat expensive, so they simply re-used the same videotape stock week after week, therein erasing whatever was previously recorded on the tape. There was no concept at the time that a network game show would ever be a viable product for reruns. There were only three networks, and syndication was in its infancy in 1975. Only the production companies Goodson Todman and Heater Quigley had the insight to preserve and archive their daily episodes, at great expense. Most of the Heater Quigley shows have never resurfaced. For example, the original Hollywood Squares is believed to be permanently erased. Network daytime game shows were reinvented every season, produced en masse, and considered disposable products after one airing. Sad but true, and understandable as a business decision at the time. There are only three known existing episodes of The Money Maze. This episode, the pilot, and one episode archived at The Paley Center in New York, which was gifted from the Andy Warhol estate. Andy had an early version of a home Betamax in 1975 and luckily recorded one episode. I recently went to the Paley Center while on vacation in New York and watched it. It's available for public viewing. It's a superb example of the show and equally enthralling as this episode with Don and Mary Paoli as the big winners. Any fan of The Money Maze who is in New York should go there and watch it. It is not on KZitem or anywhere else. The Paley Center has it exclusively.

@@IanFrame-l6w The Money Maze episodes do not exist. The videotapes were reused by the network for other shows thereby erasing all episodes of The Money Maze. That was standard practice for network daytime TV. Soap opera episodes from the same period do not exist for the same reason. No episodes exist other than the three mentioned above. It's as simple as that. Nobody has them. They are gone forever. That's how TV worked until the 1980's when the home VCR was invented.

To all fun and games did you have a family party when you watched the tape. Did the grandkids and your kid’s make fun of Grammy running through the maze. Must have enjoyed seeing Grammy in the mink coat. One of the kids must have said something about winning only 10,000 dollars in this day and age of million dollar game shows

Just looked up the audience ticket address, 1330 Avenue of the Americas (aka Sixth Avenue) is now a business center w/ an AT&T Store, home furniture store, currency exchange, etc., across the street from the Hilton between 53rd and 54th Streets.

WTH kind of low-rent production went into making that Kukla Fran & Ollie Tootsie Roll commercial? The last line isn't even miked. Was that shot live in studio with the game show like they did back in the '50s? I mean, how else did that conceivably make it to air?

Never heard of this show or seen it before, but I can see why it was cancelled quickly. Plus, is the maze the same every episode? It would make beating it very very easy if you study it before your appearance on the show. Dumb.
