Cool boat! I had an idea for the outboard motor mount on the transom: if you wanted leave it where it is you could attach a brace between the mount (where you plan to put the backing plate) and the deck. Create a triangle. One on each edge of the backing plate.

Well you got you money's worth and then some, the mast alone is worth more than you paid 👍Those bilges have been dry for a long time, which is promising, a good dry hull is a great starting point and a solid foundation to build on, seems like a great project, so I hope you have a lot of fun with it.

@@TwoDollarCatamaran matching a prop to the engine and hull in question is easy, you find prop manufacturers with calculators to figure it out on their web site....if the prop is Not matched, you will always get less power into the water, and burn more fuel.....so it is worth doing.....but a 4HP would have sufficed.

the positive buoyancy foam placement is a bit of a thought tangle with catamarans ... it's 2#/ft^3, ( but displaces 64# per ), so it does add weight, but the piece of mind is worth it. the tangle comes in where the pontoons are the best place to put the weight, by weight....but any adjacent cabin areas are the best place for it by the insulation properties. so I don't know how that's going to pan out, but there are other forms of marine insulation which also add positive buoyancy.....which makes the design process more convoluted, but weight the boat, and do the math along the way. gotta get it up on the hard, let it dry out, repair and seal up the wood first...otherwise the boundary will form a place where moisture can fester. penetrating epoxy, micro balloons, and 4oz glass weave comes to mind. you might want to consider ditching the Bimini , and making a short hard dodger with divinycell. I think you could just design and cut the foam, and tack it together with bits of tape, here and there, then start glassing the seems, and work into a structure in place, one step at a time

good move ditching the spinnaker. just clutters things up, makes for complications and broken stuff, and only adds a little extra speed at the point of sail where you don't need it; AND adds drag when you don't need any extra drag. so vamboose and good residence to the spinnaker, plenty of other things that need your attention there ... you're off to good start having the intelligence to do that.

Get some real hard 8-10mm thickrubber pads... To clamp your motor to the hull they will absorb some of the high frequency vibes and noise from the motor and prop drive. Woods fine but it will rot over time and squash down with less return .. just a 💭 thought. Putting the motor back in the deck boz means you probably cannot steer it like a transom motor mounted engine. So a bit more limmited manoeuvring in tight spaces. 🤷🏻 Cest la Vie.

Are you even aware that silver is a unit of global monetary exchange? I have not heard you mention this once. There was a reason that silver was hidden on the boat. What disturbs me is that you are not even informing your audience, about the economic reasons for owning silver as a sailor.

Clean the outside off ...use some of the old fuel then soapy water .. take the waste fuel into a garage ....they can burn that in heavy ex multifuel vehicles ..its normal for what happens when some ends up with a mix up at the fuel pumps ..pump it out. Clean the inside with some hot soapy detergent water .. leave it to dry rinse out with a drop of fresh fuel. Is it Diesel or petrol? As long as its not leaking its been in the dark not gone pink so wont have deteriorated unless somethings been rubbing. 🤦🏻♂️ How to spend a fortune and get mouth cancer 😬 dont do that.
