How have I never heard this version? I've heard Graham sing on it 100 times. And who's that on keys?

This one song always sounded to me like something Van Halen might have done. The guitar solo and intro leading into the guitar solo really kicks it up !

Graham's vocals are unsurpassed, but Gary was great himself. Nice version. I've been recently re-discovering MSG, saw them twice in the 80's with this line-up. the late, great Ted McKenna on drums. Schenker was always one of the best rock guitarists out there.
Awesome, seeing Chris Glenn-bass and Ted McKenna- drums, from the Sensational Alex Harvey Band. R.I.P. Ted & Alex Harvey.

Saved for posterity. Graham had, ahem, left and Gary was back, so....they had to put out something from that great, (Musicians) album. And that's cool. Too bad Chrysalis was not behind them on Built to Destroy where they actually had 2 radio friendly hit singles. But this is great.

Michael's best album. The production is spot on, very raw. Graham's version is so much more gritty than Gary's. Desert Song, Samauri & Rock You To The Ground are 3 of the top 10 MSG songs.

I still don't know why the local classic rock station does not play MSG or UFO.

Yes I had never heard of them till this year and I'm 37. I'm coming across new bands all the time I had never heard of because they were never famous or heard of and I find it very strange because they are brilliant. Some of them are better than the ones that actually got famous 😮

"Not ideally built for ballet" Had no idea what Bonnet was saying til now. 🤣
Warm tone. 80s recordings didn't overemphasize treble I don't know what it is the analog took the edge off...but what would this sound like today? I can hear background vocals..natural drums and bass where today it's just so processed..I don't know, does anyone prefer the sound back then?

The original version with Graham Bonnet on vocals is more powerful but also this version with Gary Barden is good enough, i love this song and the whole album, i think it was the best vocal performance of Graham Bonnet ever, Michael Schenker was fantastic in the seventies and eighties, the bass, drums and the minimal keyboards are superb, thanks for sharing.

Decent alternatif for sure, but of course, with Bonnet it simply went extra miles. A lot of them. Too bad he lost his temper with stupid fans, and acted like a stupid jerk. But well, in the end, we got some excellent Alcatrazz albums, which were much more than just a consolation prize....
