So is this a ritual or more of a game? And what's the purpose of it either way?

Stomp dance is empty unless you are truely attuned with the Mother Earth the Choctaw spirit is broken until we can cast off what we did to survive and revitalize our original beliefs look at the dress we cast as “traditional” that’s more like 1800s white man dress

Okawiiki That being the case for your morality then you can't argue that your genocide was not justified . what a nonsensical point to make ! I'm sorry but facts don't have feelings what your people did was evil . fact their is a paper trail of slave's owned by Indians your tribe was one ! Fact even after the white mans law gave black American slaves rights as humans your people refused to allow them autonomy . it's not confusing your ancestors were conquered by the devil then they became the devil .

This song and dance was traditionally associated with the green corn ceremony, in which the teeth of a garfish are used in the purification ritual connected with the summer ceremonies. The movement of the dancsers swirling around mimics the movement of the garfish swimming in the water during spawning rituals.
