There are specialist suppliers of bookbinding tools in the UK, but also many of the larger pieces of kit just seem to get passed down from one binder to another over the years!

I am so excited. I finally found my ditch. I'm 63 years old and then are you the best? I do have one question when you're done with a look like that. How much do you charge for it? I think that is the most beautiful book I have ever seen and being put together as well as you have put it together. My hat goes in the rain and you are a number one, please hit building more more. Thank you so much, can't wait to see you next. Exciting video, keep up the good work, the book builder.

Such a gorgeous book - each shed is unique and inspiring, and I love all the tiny details Kotite features to help readers imagine how to create their own She Sheds kzitem.infoUgkxe9yi0sulKgsp0VJJCIrLWWkvVqcU7LFR . Hi Vasiliostakos. Thanks for your comments. I never throw any books away, even cheap, rubbish ones which we donate to second-hand book shops for others to enjoy. However, most of us could never afford just to buy beautifully hand-bound books. Maybe just one or two very special ones if we come into money. Cheap mass-produced bindings do mean that books are not the preserve of the wealthy any more but can be enjoyed by any of us, rich or poor, whether they be new or previously owned. Everything has its place. Cheers. GRoB.

Hi @TheSighphiguy. Good point, but this is often the case with Designer Bindings. The artwork itself is intended to convey the concept, the gist, the feel or key aspects of the book's text. As these are made for competition, the success - or not - of the artist in achieving this forms part of the judging process. Thanks for watching and best regards. GRoB

Why is the music on U.K. videos always way too load? Not every body is deaf. I have too keep adjusting the volume, making it rather annoying.
@grobbo64
2 жыл бұрын
Hi 4376ED. Thanks for watching and I'm sorry if the music came across as loud. I spend a great deal of time ensuring that there is a continuity in volume through my films. I have just watched is through again myself and am still very happy with the dynamic between music and spoken word volumes. A couple of other viewers (literally a couple out of 400K viewers and 450 commenters) have mentioned that the volume is too low and I can therefore only assume that equipment being used to watch the film in these few cases has some sort of issue. Anyway, I hope that you enjoyed the content in spite of the problem. Regards. GRoB.

What a wonderful film and tribute to your father. It shows that some people are just in their happy place making things. I have been an engineer for over 30 years and have been playing the cello for 11 years. My aim is to play a cello that I have made. I have started building a violin and have been truly inspired by your father and such a well put together representation of what it takes to build a beautiful work of art. What a fantastic legacy, instruments that will be making music for many years to come. Thankyou both.

Also, working with your hands ( and tools ) has got to be one of the best ways to reduce your stress and find serenity. Unless maybe if it is your bread and butter and you are working on a deadline.
