Hi MrFrankie, any chance of giving me the dimensions of the EZ adaptor, I can not afford the $600 plus they want for it now. Either way, thanks for your time.

Hi Frank, excellent video, thanks for posting. Im looking at that exact machine, is there any way to assess this wear without ripping the whole machine apart? It does run and drive but they only want $200 for it. One of the axles has been welded. Thank you

You could remove there bottom plate and remove the belts and wiggle the shafts and check chains.. that's the minimum I'd do..

What I was looking for finally. But very long winded with little help for the problem. Basically if you see bronze dust replace the flange bushing. Oh, and you need to remove virtually everything to get at it.

Usually I find parts don't fail so much as not being lubricated often enough. Most of the time I get machines that look like the belly pans were never removed. It's a wonder these machines run as long as they do with no maintenance to the friction drive system.

Hi. Great video. My question isn't pertaining to the replacement of the disc on my unit, but I am now working in the same area and given your credentials I thought I'd ask. I have basically the same blower Ariens 932105. It has a Tecumseh 8.5 DUAL shaft engine # LH318SA-15671H (the two pulleys go in opposite directions). The engine is toast. I have a Very good Tecumseh HMK80 SINGLE shaft engine. I made the swap; everything is completely lined up and works great, one problem, The transmission is now going forward in reverse and going in reverse while set to forward. I read that I would need to turn the transmission 180 degrees around to solve the problem. Would you be able to explain the process in better detail? Thanks.

check you engine rotation, you may be able to re-time it to make it rotate other way and install new pull start, rotation can be checked by how pull start turns motor clockwise or counter clockwise this in my opinion seems to be what happened,, i don't know of you can switch the trans around. each case is different

Thanks for the great video! I thought my blower just had a worn friction disc, but after watching your informative video I investigated further and found that the bronze bushing was very worn just like yours was. It would have been a disaster to just replace the friction disc and then find out about the bronze bushing. But I have to ask what is that annoying thing dangling in the lower right through most of the video!

Great video - have the exact snowblower & had to replace the hex shaft & sprocket - just wish I had found the video before I made my repair! I found the most difficult part was reassembling the selector shaft to the wheel mechanism.

Hi MrFrankie1k --- If you want to see something really interesting and very disappointing - watch my video I shot of my Ariens Snowblower DRIVE SHAFT Wobble Problem and Quick Fix ARIENS 921005 ---> --kzitem.info/news/bejne/z5l3qZt3m4GCm2mT- ------ I cannot understand how this type of design is still being used on brand new Ariens machines that I saw at my local Home Depot. This video was shot a number of months ago, and now that shaft you see, is about 1/2 way worn down because of the u-bolts I have been using. It's a pretty sad situation.

My failure analysis revealed the same problem on my 20 year old ST824. The wear on my bushing appears to be quite similar to yours. I had to use a three-jawed puller to get the hub off, though; it was rusted on pretty tight. Parts where available and should arrive in a couple of days. Thanks.

Thanks for the failure analysis. I'm going to be going into the same Ariens snowblower shortly and I greatly appreciate the detailed information. You showed a few extra parts I would not have thought would be culprits and will be sure to check when I'm servicing it. Thanks again and God bless.
