@l.p.3428

@@cangoel It helps with casual breaking, I use it all the time there, but it doesnt help in emergency situations. Most bikes breaking distance isnt determined by the effectiveness of the brakes, where engine breaking actually helps, but by tire grippyness. If your rear tire is sliding already or abs has to activate, more breaking power to the rear wheel is not gonna help

Front brake, better to preload the lever when may need it so just not applying brakes makes emergency stopping WAY more progressive and avoids a lock up. Rear brake lever - DONT put your foot under it - delays application when needed
@raiko_too

(Set your brakelever right then you dont have to preload it and risk overheating the brake if you do it wrong for too long (and degrade the pads faster etc etc) 🙃)

Dude.... DO NOT put your foot under the break lever. This can delay your reaction if you have to use it quickly and if you somehow touch the ground (for example while cornering) you can hurt your self very badly. Slide your foot back so that it rests almost with the toes on the peg. Then... you can pull your clutch at full speed all day long and it will be fine. Just dont let it slip unnessesarily, thats what causes it to get hot and degrade. And NOBODY fills their tyres randomly. I'm sorry but i have to say please dont make clickbait videos like that if you dont know the stuff yourself. I will say how ever that you have some valid arguments with degradation of brakepads (and rotors!) and clutch and stuff. Please dont pick dummy arguments to fill a video and please research the stuff if you tell it to other people.

I'm curious, what did you find clickbait in the thumbnail? Regarding the rear brake tip, I appreciate your concern for safety. As for tyre pressure, while I understand your point, I've seen many beginner riders fill the air in the tyres randomly, which is why I included it. Thanks for sharing your perspective and tips ❤️ I'll aim to clarify this better in future videos.

@@the101rider I havent said thumbnail. I ment the title... the statement "...every Biker Makes..." is a bit ridiculous for points like random tyre pressure, which i haven't seen anyone doing ever thb. I havent seen anyone resting on the clutch in a way that it slips either... i have however seen clutches being set too tight with no play on the lever which leads to slip. I'd bet you thats the way more common thing...

In my opinion: 1. Disagree partially. Sure, don't rest your foot on a brake. But don't move foot around brake lever. You should slide it and keep ball of a foot on a peg when not braking. You can keep fingers on brake lever, but keep them straight, don't "hug" the lever. To have the best control you can keep 2 fingers on a brake lever and the rest around throttle (but it's personal). 2. Ok. There is no point to rest fingers on clutch all the time, but clutch lever has some free play (a few milimeters), so nothing bad should happen to the clutch. 3. Completely agree. 4. True. Extremely important. I think you can change the pressure depending on the weather you are riding and type of terrain, but only slightly. But I'm not an expert. 5. True. Proper position of a hand and brake lever should help to avoid this mistake.

3. is partially untrue. The clutch plates wont be worn at all by quickly pulling the clutch, as they're spinning freely with no contact. It is generally better to keep the bike in gear and let the engine braking slow you down, but sometimes when emergency braking, pulling the clutch in avoids wheel hop or stalling if you don't have time to downshift. Related, when shifting gears, usually a partial pull of the clutch is enough and will be smoother as you can unload the transmission enough to grab the next gear without letting the rpms drop. 4. just going to add that you can raise rear pressure by a few psi when carrying extra load or a pillion. Stunters often run lower psi in the rear for more stability, and racers/fast riders will start with lower cold psi all around due to putting more heat into the tires with fast/agressive riding (as the tires heat up, pressure increases so a lower cold pressure allows the tires to be at the correct pressure when hot)
