VHS Train Documentaries Australia is an online VHS archive dedicated to providing you 1980's and early 1990's train and railway related documentaries about and around Australia!
I had this VHS when I was a kid & I used to watch it with my Granddad who passed away nearly 20 years ago. I found this yesterday after talking about my granddad & then went searching online to find it & as soon as the video started with the close up from a helicopter shot of the Scotsman’s cabin, I got emotional as I had a flood of memories just come back to me. Thank you for posting this up for everyone’s enjoyment & hopefully like me to relive precious memories 😊🤗👍

31:27 a lot of that has changed as of today the level crossing seen here in this clip is gone completely so instead it has the road that goes right by the entrance of Tipton station

Since Scotsman went down under for Aus Steam 88, could they bring 3801 to the UK for her hundredth birthday?
@DarkLordSauron100
Жыл бұрын
3801 would be too large for the UK loading gauge (too tall and wide), outside of the Channel Tunnel line anyways.

@@DarkLordSauron100 How did Scotsman fit on the Australian gauge?

@@bennickss easy, it's smaller than our largest locomotives thus fits in our loading gauge

this is how I was introduced to 3801 when I already knew about the R-Class and K-Class and D-3 class and of course Flying Scotsman herself.

I watched this about 100 times when I was really really young. It was done at my grandparents house who now don't have the VHS Tape. And now I've found it again after a decade. I love the internet this way.
