Güzel iniş. Kanalımda böyle iniş ve uçuş videoların olmasını isterdim.

what is that whirring buzzing sound the engine makes? i noticed some planes don't have it and on some it disappears upon reaching cruising altitude. on some, it stays on until landing. it's not the whizzing sound. sounds like something out of a turbo prop.

Maerzad Mohamed Nazmi That sound is engine fan blade tips exceeding speed of sound. The sound fades when the aircraft's speed and altitude increases and the sound is observed in front end of the cabin. This is because the sound needs to travel longer distance through the air from engines to reach the observer, loosing more energy. In the altitude the thin air also fades the sound more effectively since air molecules are further apart from each other than in lower altitudes and therefore have less capability to carry sound waves.

Why did he turn on the packs that late?
@slo1383
7 жыл бұрын
Well you noticed he turned the packs off in the first place, so I'm sure you're not far off knowing why. But in any case: It'll be related to the airlines's SOP. Packs utilize bleed air from the engines to pressurize the aircraft. This bleed air takes a certain (relatively minor) amount of power from the engine, so to turn off the packs provides a bit more power on take-off (useful for short runways or reaching desired rates of climb). In regards to engaging the packs, the Airbus recommended technique is to engage one pack at thrust reduction (CL thrust setting) and the 2nd at S-speed (Slat retraction speed) - pretty much as demonstrated in this video.

Máté Batki It's actually V1 which is the speed that you are commited to taking off, if you cancel a takeoff it is before V1

I love the logical layout of the Airbus glass cockpit and lights out-all clear overhead panel. Very logical yet elegant at the same time.
