Nomad Boatbuilding
My name is Mark Reuten and I build custom wooden boats.
I have been building, repairing wooden boats and teaching wooden boatbuilding since 1993.
I have built over 125 new boats and have worked on everything from scale models to tall ships.
My work is on display at the Vancouver international airport, the Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Site, and I was featured in the BC Pavilion at the 2010 Olympics. I have also been featured in a National Film Board documentary about efforts to revive traditional kayak building in the arctic: Caribou Kayak by Michael Mitchell, 2004.
I want to share my knowledge and create a good online resource for detailed wooden boatbuilding education. You can help me out with that by becoming one of my supporters on Patreon. www.patreon.com/nomadboatbuilding
