The Memphis Maria might not have gotten paid much. But the perks are worth $1 million a year for each and everyone of the Memphis mafia.

They wrote the book out of revenge it to symbolize that. They say anything they want. We get it to save Elvis from himself. We did it for this. That's all lies. They did it because they were pissed off because they got fired. They did not want to give up the gravy train . It was for revenge, pain, and simple

But what you and they didn't know is that Elvis was dying. Elvis mother Gladys who died at 46 and her two brothers died in their mid 40's all had Alpha 1. Her parents were first cousins so Elvis inherited a double gene. In the book "Destined to Die Young" by Sally Hoedel tell how Elvis was sick at birth. He was one of a deceased twin brother and was born with a twisted colon. They were too poor for medical care. He like his mom all died of heart disease, Liver failure, and lung problems now called COPD. By his early 30's Elvis had emergency surgery to save his right eye from blindness. Early onset Glaucoma. He always used an inhaler before and after concerts. In 1975 he had a heart attack in hair dresser Larry Seller's presents but didn't want anyone to know. His last 4 years was a down slide just like his mother. He became bloated and pale, his Liver was not filtering toxins. His doctor was unaware and gave him of 42 pills a day. At his death of a heart attack 9 of his 11 s bodily systems were completely blocked he was in pain. Sally said had he never taken any drugs he would have died in his 40's. It was not drugs that killed him.

Marty Lacker one of the original Memphis Mafia said by 76 anyone still employed were waiting to befired and Elvis was slowlyl cutting off all his old friends who he felt were judging him Marty was told at the gate Elvis no longer wants your presence his best friend Jerry could no longer be around Graceland his cousin Billy who was half Elvis age was the new man in charge and he loaded the place with his 20 year old friends in the Jungle Room smoking weed drinking and getting Elvis what ever he needed as he upstairs things Elvis would never of tolerated but Billy and his young friend s did not remember the old Elvis the thats the way Elvis wanted it.And Joe Espisito and Lamar the only original members knew to keep their mouth shut or they were gone which was planned .Lamar who always had weight problems claimed Elvis would be cruel about his size if he said anything he did want to hear by then.

Fans are morons Elvis was a JUNKIE HE was getting his narcotics from doctors around the United States he had 10 narcotics in him at the time of death Dr Nick only prescribed 3 .A junkie will find anyway to get his drug s I lost alot of friends who died they will disown you before they admit a problem. Elvis did write his own script s under Red and Sonny's name and all of his hang on s he would steal the books from doctors offices and Red once took the rap for prescription fraud.Elvis according to a Dr at Baptist Memorial would walk in for a tour all the time and take what he wanted from the hospital pharmacy once walking with a whole bottle of surgical cocaine who is going to stop him.The night he died the dentist gave him 300 codeine tablets for a cleaning he had 30 times the prescribed dose in him at death on top Dilauidad 10 times of morphine and demoral wtf I had 2 back surgery s and never had dilaudiad on top of Qualudes Valium 4 kinds of sleeping pills .And was buying from dealers at the end Red and Sonny gave them a beating and they were fired .Please Elvis had an addiction to guns also you fans are ridiculous.

I heard Red West lie to Elvis about the book on a taped phone call. He told Elvis there was nothing in the book that would upset him. LIE! I listened to Dave Hebler, another one who contributed to the book, that they took his words and blew them up and he said he went to the publisher and complained and they said, sex and drugs sell. Dave said they would not stop the book. All he could do at tnis point was try to make it up to Elvis. I do not know if he ever put any apology out. I refuse to read the book because I heard Red say he was angry when he gave his story. Don't care, that doesn't make a good time to vent. I believe that book was part of the reason Elvis died. Sad, that it ended like it did. As far as the fights go, Elvis had defended himself before. There is a picture of him with a black eye that he was proud of. Anyway, Red lied to Elvis and then put the phone call, he illegally taped, out to prove his point, but all it proved to me was Red was a liar, to the man who had paid his wages, vacations and presents galore. If he had cared about Elvis he could have written a book of the good things Elvis did and that would have put him back in the good graces of Elvis and maybe he would have listened to them. The good things Elvis did far out weighed the bad. What's done is done and I just avoid anything about Red or Sonny West. Any video I saw them in, they were tearing Elvis down and making them look good. I have no ill will toward them and pray for them and pray to see them in heaven.

Everyone needs to read the book Elvis and the Memphis Mafia. The original core group (Red, Sonny, Lamar, Marty and Billy) tried to work with Elvis to overcome his addictions to prescription medication but he would not cooperate. Dr Nick had only prescribed four medications.

After Elvis died.... And after that book was written.... Sonny got on the tv and tried to explain why Red and the others wrote the book.... So there was the news outlet at that time....
