invisible zippers are amazing with any sort of cosplay, whether its for a fursuit, dino mask, large skirt for a cosplay or just not wanting a bulky zipper

Maybe it's said in the video, and sorry for missing it if so: what's the range of hours this process could take from start to finish? I've got kidney problems, and it gets dangerous for me to be away from the toilet after three hours or so. I would need to really dehydrate myself! 😵

The more people you have to help, the faster it will go, but it is a VERY slow process, the first time I made one took several hours but it was just ONE person helping me.
@spiltgrapesoda

Exactly this, with all of us working together it only took about an hour (have someone just keep cutting tape lol) but in the past with less helpers it has taken hours.

@@spiltgrapesoda Thanks you both! I'm lucky to have enough people I'm comfortable with that I could throw a sizable wrap-Mary-in-duct-tape(-safely) party! Sounds fun 😂

Great tutorial! The trust, the intimacy! I think I would trust some of my friends covering me in tape. Would probably be more worried that they feel weird doing it.

You make some great tutorials! Just turn up the gain/volume in your editing software. The sound is really low and I have to turn my speakers all the way up just to hear you.

Sweet!!!! Really freaking well made video! This was super helpful, and taught me a few things about making duct tape dummies. Ill make sure to direct future commissioners to your video for guidance :]

Great tutorial! A tip that I like to give to my commissioners is to get half of the rolls in a different contrasting colour, it helps a ton with figuring out where you haven't taped yet! And I cannot stress enough how important the cross hatching pattern is! Otherwise the dummy may come apart when it's stuffed by the maker

Should also mention WIPE IT DOWN AND AIR IT OUT BEFORE YOU TAPE IT BACK UP!! pllsss guys as a suit maker 😭 we don't want to touch your sweat. Nor do we want to smell stagnant sweat

You can also use a blade to cut the fur, it's way long than with scissors! I learnt this tip while working in a fabric shop! Hope that helps!

What’s thumb style mean?
@SplitHuskyCreationsOfficial
Ай бұрын
A common way people make fursuit paws is having all 4 fingers mirrored so they are even while thumb style has one paw finger in the placement of the thumb, makes it for easier wear for those who prefer a more humanlike feeling for paws rather than having the paw mirrored (i hope that makes sense)

i usually have a hard time sewing the whole two sides of the paw together, because i stuff my pads before hand to ensure they are evenly squishy. that, and the addition of claws, makes it very bulky and difficult to sew. TwT

This was very helpful, thank you! I was wondering how you get such consistent zigzag stitches when outlining the paw pads? Whenever I try, mine comes out looking like a mess </3

I don't normally go here but my god is this interesting, I'd always wondered how they made the paws on their suits and I assumed it was some kind of foam. The craftsmanship is great.
