Hey Derick !! I watched your first vlog and it was awesome! I am currently a freshman in college and aiming towards a computer science degree and honestly your vids have helped me a lot. I am just starting my programming/computer science journey and it is difficult to keep a positive eye when I don’t have much, well any background. But I’m trying and your vids are definitely helping. Also it takes some guts to be vulnerable nowadays but proud of you and keep up the great content!!

@@derickmoncado That's awesome! What I've observed is youtube is filled with "Monologues." So if you do that each video you'll blow up. Also, because you're good looking people just want to look at you lol. You are the "star" of this "show." Walk into your stardom! KZitem is just like the problems you solve with coding etc. The best thing for you to do is to purchase a youtube course from someone who has multiple channels that have been profitable and also have blown up with views. You CAN do this! 🙌🏽

I have some ques.. hope you will reply.. - was it harder for you to get a job in game industry - what's a game dev actual income per year - is there any need to get a degree - and lastly working hours

Yooo, it was a pretty lengthy interview process that lasted about 6 weeks honestly, had a phone screen, formal interview, panel interview, tech eval, another panel interview, and then a final interview then decision. It def took a while. I'm Sr. level and have been doing this a long time so I'm in the $150k+ range but it def varies based on the role and years of experience. No need for a degree, your portfolio and soft skills are more important. Lastly working hours are flexible and we have busy weeks and lull type weeks so it def varies. Appreciate you watching though!

@@derickmoncadoIn any case, this is not a mistake of the developers who follow orders from their superiors, as I think. I want to understand, does the company really have such plans to overwhelm players with unnecessary skins without a normally running game?

@@KokoRosso Unfortunately money is always the bottom line in any entertainment product so steak holders/shareholders will always prioritize that BUT, I don't know there is a large emphasis and just getting things running better and further optimizing SBMM etc. I'm not involved in those discussions though so I only know so much :/

@derickmoncado

React is the most popular and it likely has the most job opportunities, angular probably comes in close second and is used for larger more enterprise level type applications. Vue is definitely 3rd but is loved by many and still has a ton of support. I’ve seen several job listings for Vue also but React and Angular are the top 2 out there.

@@derickmoncado Sorry for being a bother but I was just thinking, maybe wouldn't be able to in time for this year, but I'm a solo player who wants to compete but doesn't have teammates to play with to progress through the tournament, so I was thinking a website for competitive players to find teammates, I was planning on doing something like this, however, one roadblock I was thinking is there's no way for me to pull player stats outside of the game so if I wanted folks to sign in to find teammates based on rank, players would both need to be honest and remember to update their rank on the site.
