why are rich people always demonised just because they have a few bob, we all have choices in life some people work hard, want to succeed and achieve and some don't easy as. if everyone was poor we would end up back living in caves for goodness sake. if poor people stopped complaining about rich people and got out there and tried hard enough they might be rich as well.

Everyone should see this documentary - the way the poor have been treated throughout the years is appalling and the effects of this on Grenfell are clear. The racism is also disgusting - aren’t we all just human beings at the end of the day? We should value our diversity, not desecrate it. RIP the 72 x

Fantastic film. I knew grenfell would be swept under the carpet. Lancaster West. Tower Parker Morris design. Modular system. Cheif architect Leyton. Dry riser fail hvac fail. Vital conpart barriers removed. It was cadent gas that stopped the fire. Not the fb. I've got all the history of it. Great job. Its A gas fire. Not cladding.

One of the main reasons for the increase in crime on a lot of the council estates in Britain in the early 1980’s was the country being flooded with cheap heroin from Iran and Afghanistan. Before that, in the 60’s and 70’s the number of people addicted to heroin was tiny. When the cheap brown heroin was introduced into this country, the number of people who got addicted to it was huge. Probably because you could smoke it. No needles. People obviously needed money to support their addictions though so crime skyrocketed.

But how did the drugs get into the council estates?

@@dangerislander propaganda. Iran were sending it over when they had a change of ruler in 1979.

I lived on Ladbroke Grove when the area was demolished and the tower was built. Although the old area around Bramley Road was scruffy, it had a lot of character. The Victorian houses were basically solid, they just needed updating, the overcrowding dealt with, and modern amenities provided. What was built was was far worse than what was there before. Within two years of being built it was decaying. Victorian houses, when properly maintained, have lasted for 150 years.

Great documentary. Pretty much nails everything i hate about Thatcherism and the cancerous class structure of our current society to be honest.

If that building was occupied by those rich people the requests for making it safe would have been answered in weeks; as it happened, the cries of the residents were ignored for years and years. Shameful. Heads should roll for this in any decent society.
