*Thank you!* Ten years have flown by, forty-five since Don's passing, more than he was granted to live. Through these captivating, masterful arrangements (which have nothing "tributy" about them) and Thomas Gansch's versatile trumpet his music lives again. A stellar performance by all involved, even the introduction was professional and heartfelt. Kudos to Frau Sampson!

Remarkable. Don was my dads favorite musician. My dad was a trombone player. Electric Bath was on his TT quite often. Much to my mothers dismay. I saw Don twice. Once at Alice Tully Hall NYC. My first ever concert!

I have known and loved the music of Telemann for more than 50 years. Telemann's writing for the trumpet is one of the great accomplishments of Western civilization, for me. And this reading/rendering, in particular, doe the Master justice. When Telemann wrote for the trumpet, he glimpsed a thing called, "eternity". And I doff my hat at the restraint, suavity, and beauty whit which you, Herr Gansch, bring the music to (eternal) life. Bravissimo!

Glad I read music because I don't speak German, but I used to play trumpet. I still don't understand why solo jazz trumpet players play so many notes. Showing off I suppose. But if you can do it why not. I just discovered Thomas this year. I'm an old Texan.
