Archival footage service
Archival Footage Service is a youthful, dynamic project born from the aspiration to safeguard a valuable cultural legacy at risk of vanishing: family films. Our channel is a treasure trove of rare family films from the '30s to the '90s, offering a unique glimpse into the everyday lives of past generations. Family films shot on 8mm/super8 (sometimes even on 16mm or 35mm) are an invaluable collection of unseen personal testimonies from our history. Unfortunately, the condition of these film reels is often dramatic, as they are stored in inadequate places and handed down to individuals who don’t know how to project them.
At Archival Footage Service, we strive to build an archive of family films that is accessible to everyone through our KZitem channel.
In addition to curating a digitized archive of these reels, our decade-long filmmaking expertise fuels our enthusiasm for crafting analog-inspired visual assets.
