It took a couple years. Been playing about 6 years. Best advice I ever received was 'practice slow to play fast'

@@bscottkillian Thank you Ben. I've been playing three finger for many years and wanted to see if I could add clawhammer to my menu. So far it's slow going and I don't want to learn any bad habits on the foundation of plucking and rhythm.
