Can you tell us how you ran power to them? Are you using the OEM plugs somewhere or did you run permanent wiring to them somehow?

Awesome setup! How were you able to configure alexa to identify in which room you are? You are using the same command for both rooms and not mentioning which room you refer to so I am really curious and this would help me a lot with my own setup. Thanks in advance and keep up with the good work!

This doesn’t feel like a one million dollar home. This feels like maybe a $300,000 home.

It was run power to the echo dot in the ceiling. Run 3.5mm to an amp, and from the amp to the speakers, just your standard speaker wire

Hi I love this, I’m just wondering what bulbs and fittings did you use.

Sean Brown - He is able to turn off lights but using the TP-Link light switches. You do not need any special bulb for this to work - hope this helps you.

Fantastic job. How did you connect the speakers in each room to the echo?

The speakers in each room are connected to a small amplifiier. The echo dot was then connected to the amp by a 3.55mm aux cable. It's very easy to do, like mounting the speakers in the ceiling and mounting the dot. Hiding the wires in walls are by far the hardest part. If you're cool with that .you will have to find a spot for your amp. Once you have a spot, connect the speaker wires, aux cable, echo dot power cord to the amp and plug it I

There are 3 mounted in the ceiling of the kitchen, living room and master bedroom ***Edit,*** after completing this home,I started to design my home as the ultimate easy to use voice activated home,12 echo dots, 2 echo shows, 2 echo spots. Status of all windows and doors can be asked, rooms light upon opening door, close door it shuts the lights off it

I'm not sure why someone would say 'what if i wanted google instead'. I'm 99.9999% sure this is hooked up with an aux cable to the alexa, and the alexa is simply just in a holder in the ceiling lol. Needless to say, awesome job. Love it.

Absolutely correct, power and aux cables are run into a box in the basement with the mini amps
