This bat has already been broken in and is a softball bat so it has much more flex than a newer bat. You should put out some videos of your own so you can show everyone what an expert you are.

They are polyurethane. It is the same thing skateboard wheels are made of except these are a bit harder.

What is the science of rolling? Are you breaking some of the material inside the bat? The cracklings noise would indicate something is being broke down? How is this process tested.

I do understand the comparison as I have used most bat rollers on the market. You should have done the test with the Xtreme bat Roller IMO. If you wanted "rigidity" for Bbcor bats I would suggest a harder plastic (which I do have a special made roller with such plastic)....if rigidity was an issue. Thing is if you put 1/2 turn pressure with yellow roller machine and full turn pressure with white roller machine the actual compression on the "nylon roller" (bat) should be more on the white roller or at the least the same. More turning = more pressure. Now a Bbcor bat does give a little and I understand the argument of a more rigid roller but if the roller can handle the pressure there is no pressure lose. As in one machine will flex the bat just as much as another the only difference would be the how many turns is needed to get to that pressure. This may be a little hard to follow for most but I am sure you get my drift. This is not a real issue unless the machine cannot handle the pressure; which all machines will be able to handle the pressure it just comes down to how many times it can handle that pressure. This is why you get the more expensive machines if you roll a crazy amount of bats like myself (BigDawg). The everyday roller will not break a machine because of bat rolling only the guys who roll 10,000 bats a year or so will break them.

+Thebatroller. The machines rigidity does make a difference. Most of the rigdity comes from the shafts not from the plastic. The rollers should not flex at all, only the bat should flex. We did bat compression testing between the Panther and one of our short machines. The Panther did almost nothing in the parallel with the bbcor bats while our machine dropped the compression almost 30 psi after the first 100 turns. We didn't heat it so that could of been why, but still it goes to show that rigidity does count even if the machine can take the pressure. That is why you see people using the parallel perpendicular method with the 6" rollers. If the roller had enough rigidity to break in the bat with parallel alone then you wouldn't have to heat the bat and roll perpendicular as well. The main problem with the baseball bats is the end cap can get in the way and prevent the middle of the bat from breaking in. Thus the solution would be to either shorten the machine, roll perpendicular or remove the endcap.

Back in the day the original bat roller was made with a delrin (sp?) roller...it was too rigid and put creases where the bat met the edge of the roller...Those nylon rollers are not that great at all and the harder plastics are needed...such as yours and the panther rollers. I am not sure if you are still in business but panther is not.

You couldn't turn the Panther 500 handle if you wanted to as it is over the table and yours the handle is hanging over so it can turn..

Get a panther 500 and try what I just tried. If the side handle turns freely with that much pressure on it, put the video up and I will give you a free machine and I will also give you back the Panther in the video as well.
