Used to love Reading until it went all indie in the late 1980s, 1980 was my first Donington too.

A bunch of arsey scuzzballs who would swear night was day if the police said otherwise. Why argue over every little thing like where to stand in the street, it totally undermines the position of anyone with a genuine grievance against the police.

Interesting documentary, how things have changed. In 1981 when buying drugs you were more likely to get sold fake tabs or grass, that's less likely now. Also interesting was how quickly they got a lab result and it was reported in the papers. Also of note was the old drug squad, how they looked and operated. I heard Iron Maiden and Marillion was it? Thanks for uploading.

0:40 those "well behaved people" aren't profitable in terms of Police payments, hierarchy, taxation etc..... Correspondingly it is in the best interest of the organisation to make such unprofitable people profitable? . Brittle, irrational polarisation without understanding context, science, facts etc... = ?

These coppers are the ones we need for BLM, Extinction rebellion etc They would soon 'move them along'. Now the police give them cups of tea and kneel before them. Then wonder why they ignore them

This is social history gold.1981 eh? 41 years ago ! I went to this Rock Festival in 1978, Quo headlined. Yup it certainly brought back memories. To all the snowflakes out there, this is how it really was back then. Look at 5.03 with the Police Sergeant smoking in the station, the millennials and woke brigade will have a heart attack looking at this!
