Everyone’s talking about the music (which is undeniably mesmerizing) but let’s spend a word on the LOCATION of the film!!! I was captured with the shots of Noto (Sicily) and how beautifully fills the background of the narration. Simply stunning 😍

ALL the music of this movie carries the weight of this tragedy and hints at what this story holds for every character on stage. Looking beyond the romance of the words, Its all urgent, longing, and morose. If every score in this film played without words, the whole film would have the feeling of someone running with everything they had to catch an old friend mere steps from walking off of a cliff, all the while second guessing every decision they ever made, questioning what they could have done differently to keep them from ending up where they are, and knowing without a doubt in your mind theres no way you're going to reach them in time. Everyone is doomed. Everyone knows it, but you cant stop running for them, even knowing they'll be just out of your reach when they go over. Its loneliness, and shame, and powerlessness. Its a lifetime of the wrong decisions, of placing pride over passion, of not listening, of not feeling, of saying all the wrong words, and hating yourself every day for it.

I used to be like this. I wrote poems, intelligent inside jokes, letters i loved to compose. For each girl something unique. But it somehow dissapeared over the years. This song made me to miss it. I have lost my muse. it was like sharing part of my soul and girls loves it and it also make them feel unique. Basically nobody do this anymore. That is why it works so good.

What makes this scene so brilliant is that is highlights the themes of writing and elegance. So much of the story is about how beautifully and poetically Cryano can express himself. And yet here, there simple men are trying to find the perfect last words for their loved ones and, while their words are not as poetic as Cyranos, they convey just as much passion and emotion. Brilliant scene that never fails to make me weep

Count me as another who was completely blindsided by how sad this movie was. It didn't help that I saw it mere DAYS after Putin ordered the invasion of Ukraine, which really made the image of the slimy bureaucrat signing off on the deaths of hundreds of soldiers for a disgustingly petty reason from behind his comfortable desk (and receiving no punishment whatsoever) really hit different. Makes you wonder how many times scenarios like that have happened in history. A lot, I'd assume.

I very much like this movie as a movie itself, but as an adaptation of a classic story it's bad. The thing was that Cyrano's nose angst was a personal self-image problem with him, changing him to a midget makes it unfortunately more serious than "Is this guy for real,?"

I’ve talked to my friends who are not Musical/Sensitive People. How would you feel if someone simply told you, “I love you.” Or have you ever been someone who said it and they wanted more. This is a hard question for most people.

I NEED MORE I need more Don't you dare tell me you love me I've heard that line before Talk of the blank space behind the sun Where you told me you'd meet me when everyone's gone Tell me that nothing makes sense But the sound of my voice in your head Even when I'm nowhere around Make love make sense in the loveliest way Infinite and simple in an ink-black sky Turn me to water like your letters do Make me not know whеther to laugh or cry I NEED MORE I need more I need wavеs of desire to come over me And teardrops on the floor I feel like I've been too long with my thoughts anyway I've cornered myself in the loneliest place I won't let you lose me now that you've found me You know what to say, so just say it now to me I float through the hours with everyone else But I always only think of you by myself Tell me your secrets. Who are you in private? When you can't sleep, tell me how do you survive it? I NEED MORE I need more I need waves of desire to come over me And teardrops on the floor I NEED MORE I need more Don't you dare tell me you love me I've heard that line before I've heard that line before I need more

I didn't expect this song to be so good. All the voices are great the lyrics are great the general tune of it is great, and the visuals of the whole scene is intensely moving. Felt like I was there hearing those voices echo and reverberate and I was in awe there and here alike. One million out of ten.

This is such an amazing number. It's also very clearly an homage to Kate Bush: the lyricism, the musical structure, and the choreography. Wonderful.
