It is interesting that even an old man is able to do difficult work with the help of physics and a tool. But after movies like "Final Destination" and all the failures on KZitem, you expect the worst... And I think this time it was pretty close, because the prop started to bend a lot and very soon it would have snapped and stuck into the old man. And in the "best" case, the bar would simply spring back under the pull of the winch.

I don't know if anyone else commented on this, but why not get a little leverage in there? Keep the pulling chain on the top, but move the beam closer to the stump and attach the chain to the stump lower down on the beam. You could get three times as much pull.

Wonder if it was soaked with water if it would have come easier. Regardless, that genius. Leave it up to an old guy to figure out a smart way to do something. Too bad us humans don’t get smart normally until a few years before we kick the bucket😂🤣

Good stuff, well done. Might be easier (and safer) with a highly geared block and tackle (chain pull type, easy to use). As always, make sure all is well within safe limits - sudden failures can be seriously harmful.

This is extremely dangerous. If that rigging fails, you could be crushed. If the board snaps, you could be impaled. I'm glad it worked, though.

1: I'm not so sure that's a wife narrating. 2: You got a tractor? !!!!! 3: Use the chain and a rim/tire with the tractor. 🚜 I love the setup, though. I just did the same thing today, 2 stumps and 5 t-posts using a rim/tire with my side by side, and it's winch. It took me about 40 minutes.
