Some of my friends pointed out to me that my blurb on Two Distant Strangers could be construed as problematic, so I want to make my thoughts on it a little clearer. I agree with it’s message and what it set out to do. The short’s premise is that a Black man is trying to get home from his date to get back home to feed his dog, only to get caught in a time loop that keeps ending with him being killed by a white police officer, and now must figure out how to get home and break the loop without getting killed and reset. I think the idea of that short is really good. However, as a story and as a film, I think it’s incredibly flawed. I don’t want to talk about spoilers, and I encourage anyone reading this to check it out on Netflix, but there’s product placement all over the first half of it, the imagery and symbolism, though effective at first, get really ham-fisted and unsubtle by the end of the short, and although it’s premise is creative, it creates a lot of implications that show to me that the idea wasn’t fully thought through. Also, this short does a thing I hate where it takes big, complex things (i.e systemic racism in American police) and oversimplifies it to all hell. Bottom line, I like the short’s idea, I think it’s gonna win Best Live-Action Short, but it really could’ve benefitted from more script drafts, or even expanding the idea into a feature film. As is, the final product isn’t great

Totally agree about the digital vs physical copies stuff Empty! I liked that I've been able to split the cost of games with friends and share the copy, but it's a real disincentive when you have to pay 100 extra for a CD drive that looks so clunky with the hardware aesthetic.

Awesome video, Empty. I plan on getting a PS5 after Christmas, but even then, there’s still a few things that we don’t even know about. Like, what outside of the PS Plus Collection, what’s that service going to be like on next-gen? Also, can we use the external HDDs that we already have, or do we have to go out and buy new ones? Hopefully, we hear something else in a blog post or another State of Play before launch

FNaF may have the same formula for 6 games straight, I mainly continue for the story. FNaf 4 was a weird title and future FNaF games really tried to fix what FNaF 4 had or tried to expand on it. If you're not too into the "Sit in one place and click" gameplay, maybe not for you, but for FNaF: S.B, it really looks like it will have free roam. If you look past the gameplay and look for the story instead, FNaF is an interesting franchise, but if you care for both, it might be a little tough for you to get back into the franchise. If you want to get back into FNaF, i suggest giving FNaF VR a good try, the people making the Security Breach game made FNaF VR as well, so if you want to see how these games look and "Might" play, give that game a try.

I enjoy you put Shadow World for the background music of the vita section. That's really the only reason anyone would have bought a vita, and now with it being on PC it's basically dead for all its worth now.

This was a great and informative video! I find it funny that you did mention Yu-Gi-Oh! here but I guess Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links isn't as well known... it is their entry in the gacha hell world XD also Magic the Gathering and Shadowverse are notable online card game franchises I think. Also a moment of silence for the PS Vita. It's considerably okay in the Japanese market just because there was a lot of JRPGs and Visual Novels released specifically for the PS Vita (which is why I got one in the first place). Just that I think the US market would just favor the 3DS in terms of portable consoles. Learned a lot from watching. Hope to see more :D

Thank you! Honestly, Duel Links is something I've heard of floating around, but I don't play Gacha games so it's something I'm completely unaware of. As for the Vita, it definitely had a lot of potential, and arguably still has some good uses as well (playing PS1 games on the go, legacy content from the PSP digital story), but it was missing the crucial thing all consoles need: Games worth playing. Most I can think of off the top of my head that were must have titles for it (at least in the US) were Uncharted Golden Abyss and Persona 4 Golden.
