Considering that it is the first ever attempt at a game those ball physics are really accurate. They really feel like you are hitting a tennis ball back and forth.

On the Playstation version you could load up the disc and when the city loads and you are set to start playing you can swap the gane disc for any audio CD. I remember playing this with Danzig 4p in the machine.

Frenzy was an excellent and much improved version of Berserk. The game was intense and the sounds and sprites were sharp like Defender/Stargate. Hypnotic, yet intense... and borderline traumatic. Highly addictive. The ColecoVision version was also excellent. The CV didn't have speech synth ability so the robot attack voice from the arcade were swapped with a 4 note bassline thing. Aside from that the CV game was a pure cum festival! It was my most played Coleco game. Originally I used to play Frenzy at the checkouts of my local K-Mart between 1982 and 1984. I was hooked like a runaway child would be to sugar, hookers, pop rocks and crack rocks. My allowance was $2/week and I dumped $1.75 into the Frenzy machine and the remaining quarter went into Wacko. By coincidence I discovered Frenzy was available for Coleco when K-Mart did away with their dozen or so arcade machines so I was never completely mentally tortured. Locating the secret room was the reward. I never figured out how in the hell to achieve it but occassionally I found that shiny silver-lined asylum. I typically went for the bonus on every single level and killed Otto atleast one time, preferably 3 times or more. This was my favorite game when I was 7-8-9, until I discovered (1) Mario Bros and (2) my neighbor N*col* showed me her coin slot. Berserk = Mad Max <--- meh. Frenzy = Road Warrior <--- big dick energons Stern produced an excellent game with Frenzy. For a pinball company they made a great game using sprites, and with a high replay value whether it was arcade or CV port. I rate this game 100 out of 5. Revisiting this with enhancements would be welcomed. Secret items, miltiplayer, deathmatch, co-op, scrolling boards, etc.. all while leaving the original sprites and actions as is. The future has room for a Frenzy II or atleast Frenzy 1.5 using the 8-bit platform. Howard Stern = Zero. Stern Electronics = Megaload of silver jellyfish and unadulterated excitement! This is one of the best maze games of all time. PS: Please don't have an Orb 3-D video because I would require an audiobook format in order to leave a proper comment containing only the most essential informational opinions and observances.

Stellar sequel to a flawless game. I first played this at Disney's Caribean Beach Resort in winter 1988 and 1989. Awesome backdrops, new triple ships concept, and stylish bonus stages with a circus jingle. This game didn't stray too far from the original, but had nice tweaks that were pleasant to look at and also listen to. I rank Galaga '88 highly. I think NEC PC Engine had this only with a Galaga '90 title. I think the game was identical to this arcade version. Loved this game as much as I did the original Galaga. Perfect update, fresh look with a classic feel/response. Not too bold to be rated R for retarded. This game was done just right.

I used to play this in the concession stand at one of two drive-ins in Woodbridge Ontario. But I forget, was this pure black and white with horizontal mylar color strips along the top edge of the screen, similar to the Vectrex overlays? At any rate I played this at one of the drive-ins. The sounds are like aidz as somebody already mentioned. The original greyscale Sprint (2 player) arcade also had similar sounds when you drove out of bounds and got stuck in the shrub. I also played that at the drive-in while waiting for the first of 2 movies to start. Thanks for uploading this demo of a very retarded but simple/cool game. I swear another game also used the "we're in the money" jingle. Jumpman? I forget which game.

Excellent game for it's time. I played two versions for C64, I think one was called Executive Edition. Leaderboard was a solid golf game that raised the bar high in the 80s. I think EA took notes as their schematic in Tiger Woods was very similar to LBG. Years later I would become a really big fan of Hotshots Golf for PS2 and PSP. There were no mini Tron-style islands though ; )

I was always fascinated with figuring out how 3D graphics were rendered. Eventually when I figured out the algebra/trigonemtry behind it all, I was able to do it for myself. Just simple stuff, because in the 80s home PCs really weren't up to the task.
